re: Rodman - I have long touted Dennis Rodman as the mediator between the US and Korea, so thank you for your article about him being the unofficial ambassador. Deep down I think he was probably the real reason this summit happened, as he has been planting and sowing the seeds for nearly five years, as you pointed out.

A. I’ve been on Facebook for years and haven’t had any problems with privacy issues. Putting NewsScope on FB might be a good alternative to using this homestead provider, since it takes so long to update pages. There are vibrant astrology groups there, and unlike this page, it's mobile friendly.
Re: Trump – Hey, t pluto square US p mars @ 17:54 Libra for final time. I've mentioned before that I noticed this aspect first in spring of 2016 just as Trump was getting traction in the primaries and then again almost exact when he was sworn in. Again, during the Nov. 2018 election, Pluto is @19:10 Libra, hardly one degree past exact. I want to hope it means that the current gangster element in politics is over. Can you 'make my day'?

re: Meghan - Duchess of Sussex .. About her Part of Fortune. Your article uses the Part of Fortune using the day chart formula, hence 17 ish deg Virgo. But her natal chart is nocturnal, Sun is below horizon...My software therefore gives her PoF as 1Ge 23" ? I thought it was standard practice to use the PoF formula based on whether the chart is day/night .
A. Yes, I always use the daytime formula. I've written an extensive article (published in Dell Horoscope magazine) explaining why this is the way to go. It’s an analysis of ten presidents and how the Part of Fortune is a key indicator in their elections and general good or bad fortunes.
SolarFire used to have the default Part of Fortune set to the daylight formula, but after Rob Hand’s research into ancient astrology (which I don’t agree with), the SF default was switched to day and night time formulas. You have the option of making the default the daytime formula for all birth times.
This is further explained in my article on Joan Quigley and the Part of Fortune. It was also published in Dell Horoscope magazine and re-posted on my website here.
re: Trump’s SR - Are you sure that he'll be in Washington when the Solar Return happens? Did you try it out in Singapore??
A. Solar Returns are set for the residence, not the point where one happens to be on the globe at the time. The notion that one can enhance their SR prospects by being at a particularly lucky place during the SR is fake news perpetuated by dishonest astrologers seeking to make a buck.
re: Kennedy - Since you're so good at analyzing the Kennedy clan, I thought I'd see something about the recently released "Chappaquiddick" film in your column. (Did I miss it?)
After watching the film, I looked up the charts of Ted Kennedy, his wife Joan, and Mary Jo Kopechne (the passenger who drown -- actually, she suffocated -- in his car on that fateful night of July 18, 1969). What's really interesting is that ALL THREE OF THEM HAD THE PROGRESSED MOON CONJUNCT SATURN!
A. You're referring to an article I wrote on the Kennedy clan for Dell Horoscope magazine, maybe 10 years ago. I haven't really kept up on their comings and goings. That's fascinating that the three people involved all have progressed Moon-Saturn, tragic event not only for them but for the nation.
Maybe there's a new bunch of Kennedys on the horizon who can escape the Kennedy curse.
Re: The Big One - Referring to " the big one" do you mean an earthquake in Hawaii or California? I will be in Los Angeles with my daughter on May 29th, her birthday. Do you think we'll be safe there?
A. I was referring to Kiluaea in Hawaii. I think you'll be fine in Los Angeles. In my research, major earthquakes happen during outer planet alignments, and we don't have any now. The outer planets have some kind of gravitational or electro-magnetic influence that the smaller and faster moving planets dont. It may relate to sunspot activity, solar flares...

But I do also acknowledge that he alone has gotten the Korea situation where it is today and I appreciate your willingness to acknowledge that and also get an insight into the astrology behind it. re: Russia - yes, this week's column was very interesting starting with the Russian chart. It seems they had an astrologer's advice since the Sun is at the MC, Jupiter is in the 10th, and Pluto is strong in Scorpio in the 2nd house of values.
Since the Russian Sun is conjunct trump's Sun, they certainty have a friend in him. It's disconcerting that Russia's natal Mars inconjuncts the U.S. ascendant, exactly, and Russia's natal Eris is conjunct the U.S. progressed MC this year.
re: Kim Jong Un - I'm baffled by Kim's sudden attitude and policy reversals. After years of posturing, bullying, and threatening the world with nuclear annihilation, now he's transformed himself into a rational human being? It seems unlikely. Can we trust the transformation? Is it a ruse? If not, how and why did it occur? Is it permanent? So many questions... Can you give us some insight?
A. As I suggest in 4/30 blog, it may be due in large part to the fear that Trump will actually start a nuclear exchange with North Korea. Trump is just crazy enough to do that, or so it seems.
re: Uranius - Just curious: is there a degree of orb associated with the upcoming Uranus into Taurus. My husband’s Asc is 3 deg. Wasn't sure how to read that, or if I need to. My Sag Asc at 0 is quincunx; is that going to be troublesome?
A. There’s an old astro-proverb that says Mars arrives ahead of time, Uranus on time, and Saturn is late. This refers to when the influence manifests, and Uranus is unusual in that it’s most evident when the aspect is exact. So your husband may feel it coming, but nothing happens yet. You may be more in line for some changes with this transit.

A. Thanks for the excellent suggestion. However, all I could find about her birth date is that she was likely born in 1962 in New Mexico.
re: Uranus - You mentioned that astrologers are a bit worried about how the Uranus-Taurus influence may affect Wall Street. Remember, Roosevelt confiscated all personally-owned gold in 1933 and took control of the production of the silver mines in 1934 when Uranus entered Taurus!
I faithfully read your weekly analysis of the prominent news items, but I do have a very hard time accepting "asteroidology", even though I fully understand that everything under the sun is in a constant state of evolution!
Please inform me of your response to my gold-silver price/value scenario for the next few years.
A. I don’t have any astrological insights about how the gold market will shape up over the next few years. It’s interesting that FDR had some connection with gold and silver the last time Uranus entered Taurus. Is this a coincidence, or what happened during the previous cycle?

re: March - First let me again thank you for your weekly column. It is a Monday highlight. This week I have some additional comments regarding the March 24th March for Our Lives and the NRA chart.
Looking at the March for our Lives chart, one standout to me is the Mars-Moon opposition and a wider Mars-Saturn conjunction tying Saturn to the opposition to the Moon. Opposition aspects, as you know, indicate opposing viewpoints and opposing forces. Mars-Saturn could very well be the police. The augmented t-square, Mars & Saturn to Sun to Moon, could indicate loss of life due to police (or counter demonstration) actions.

A. Thanks for the link, and it’s something I’ve referred to in the past based on the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn with the close involvement of Ceres and Eris. This chart will be reviewed again in the near future.

Trump on the Offensive
Following two days of rest after his Singapore Summit, Trump was energized Friday as he issued a flurry of tweets, gave an interview on Fox and Friends, and tangled with reporters on the White House lawn. He declared the North Korea problem solved, and made pointed attacks on the NFL, the FBI, Democrats, and Canada. He announced a 25% tariff on $50 billion worth of Chinese exports.
This tri-wheel segment of Trump's chart is set for August 5, 2018 when transiting Uranus turns retrograde (outer wheel). Uranus squares progressed Saturn (middle wheel) and is octile his 10th house Uranus (inner wheel).
The lead indicator in all this is transiting Mars, which is now slowing down while heading into its retrograde station on June 26. Mars stops at 9º Aquarius while just under one degree from opposing his 12th house Pluto. This hostile, extremely competitive, hardball combination is extra forceful since Mars is stationing at this critical point. Between now and then, we can expect much more pointed attacks and counter-attacks concerning Trump.
Another major factor shaping up is transiting Uranus’ retrograde station on August 5 at 2º Taurus. This astro-event also connects with Trump’s chart in a big way: it’s octile his 10th house Uranus (at 17º Gemini) and square his progressed Saturn (at 2º Leo). In other words, it’s activating the underlying progressed-Saturn-octile-natal-Uranus, pitting the norms and traditions (Saturn) against Trump’s unique governing style (Uranus).
The Solar Eclipse on July 12 is going to be a huge astro-event, and widely connects to Trump’s chart (3º from his Saturn). Perhaps the more relevant astro-event will be the Total Lunar Eclipse on July 27 which takes place while aligned with Mars. This astro-event is one degree from Trump’s progressed Midheaven at 3º Leo. It will have a major bearing on his status in office, and will likely be accompanied by martial events. This could mean an escalating trade war, the firing of Robert Mueller, or other more unexpected historical developments.
The July 12 Solar Eclipse
Of the many surprising and even shocking statements uttered by President Trump over the past week, none has garnered more comment and criticism than his remarks about the nature of power. During his interview with Fox News last Friday, he noted that when Kim Jong Un speaks, “his people sit up at attention," and then added, "I want my people to do the same."
The Solar Eclipse on July 12 takes place at 20º Cancer and is exactly aligned with Pluto at 20º Capricorn. Death and re-birth is the symbolic process at hand. In traditional astrology, going back to the Byzantine Empire, Solar Eclipses were thought to bring the downfall of the king. While they had no clue about the existence of Pluto, this ancient message becomes more valid during this particular Solar Eclipse.
In personal charts, those with activated planets can expect dramatic shifts in the family structure, especially between the generations. Children grow up and move out, and the elder generation moves onto their next life passage. Marriages and separations happen, and health issues become serious, but may also find resolution. The flip side of this polarity is also in play, which could mean far-reaching professional, career, or business changes are at hand.
Pluto in Capricorn strengthens the corporate structure, so how one’s professional role fits into this scheme is key to personal advancement. Pluto’s involvement may also indicate some major natural or human-caused catastrophe is at hand. Earthquakes, volcanoes, and/or military confrontations become more likely. This Solar Eclipse is three degrees from Donald Trump’s Saturn in Cancer. This presents a major challenge to his role as the chief authority in the land, but Trump’s survival mode suggests another possibility. He could begin to take seriously his autocratic instincts to be supreme leader.
The Venus-Mars-Pluto combination has a strong sex drive, but with Juno opposite Black Moon Lilith, Ronaldo has avoided any long-term commitment. His Aquarius Sun squares Ceres, the parenting asteroid, which adds the dimension of children into his storied life. His long list of affairs with beautiful women has never led to marriage, but he does have four children. Currently, transiting Mars is turning retrograde while opposing his Leo Moon, highlighting his exceptional role on Portugal’s team and in the World Cup.
Ronaldo was born with his Sun in the team-oriented sign of Aquarius (February 5, 1985; 5:25 am; Fuchal, Portugal) and his Moon in the showboat sign of Leo. How an extraordinarily talented individual meshes with the rest of the team is the dilemma of the Leo/Aquarius polarity. In his early years, he was criticized for being a selfish and overly flamboyant player (Leo Moon), but as he aged, he earned respect for being a team player and was made captain (Aquarius).
Ronaldo’s Mars in Aries squaring his Capricorn Ascendant gives him the drive to be the best. Mars conjoins Venus, making him popular with fans around the world, especially since these two are intensified by a quincunx to Pluto. Neptune near his Capricorn Ascendant has helped him and his corporate sponsors fashion his likeness into a mythical superstar, as he promotes products and has more social media followers than any athlete on the planet.
Ronaldo, the World’s Greatest Soccer Player
Cristiano Ronaldo continues to thrill soccer fans with his exploits both on and off the field. As the highest paid athlete in the world, Ronaldo’s love life, his problems with the tax authorities, and his spectacular, game-winning plays make regular headlines. Last Friday after he scored all three of Portugal’s field goals in their opening World Cup match against Spain, announcers went crazy.
