re: Uranius - Just curious: is there a degree of orb associated with the upcoming Uranus into Taurus. My husband’s Asc is 3 deg. Wasn't sure how to read that, or if I need to. My Sag Asc at 0 is quincunx; is that going to be troublesome?
A. There’s an old astro-proverb that says Mars arrives ahead of time, Uranus on time, and Saturn is late. This refers to when the influence manifests, and Uranus is unusual in that it’s most evident when the aspect is exact. So your husband may feel it coming, but nothing happens yet. You may be more in line for some changes with this transit.

A. Thanks for the excellent suggestion. However, all I could find about her birth date is that she was likely born in 1962 in New Mexico.
re: Uranus - You mentioned that astrologers are a bit worried about how the Uranus-Taurus influence may affect Wall Street. Remember, Roosevelt confiscated all personally-owned gold in 1933 and took control of the production of the silver mines in 1934 when Uranus entered Taurus!
I faithfully read your weekly analysis of the prominent news items, but I do have a very hard time accepting "asteroidology", even though I fully understand that everything under the sun is in a constant state of evolution!
Please inform me of your response to my gold-silver price/value scenario for the next few years.
A. I don’t have any astrological insights about how the gold market will shape up over the next few years. It’s interesting that FDR had some connection with gold and silver the last time Uranus entered Taurus. Is this a coincidence, or what happened during the previous cycle?

re: March - First let me again thank you for your weekly column. It is a Monday highlight. This week I have some additional comments regarding the March 24th March for Our Lives and the NRA chart.
Looking at the March for our Lives chart, one standout to me is the Mars-Moon opposition and a wider Mars-Saturn conjunction tying Saturn to the opposition to the Moon. Opposition aspects, as you know, indicate opposing viewpoints and opposing forces. Mars-Saturn could very well be the police. The augmented t-square, Mars & Saturn to Sun to Moon, could indicate loss of life due to police (or counter demonstration) actions.

A. Thanks for the link, and it’s something I’ve referred to in the past based on the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn with the close involvement of Ceres and Eris. This chart will be reviewed again in the near future.
re: unwitting collusion - In your story on the Mueller investigation, the unwitting comment was not in any way a likely reference to Don Jr.s meeting which was very witting! He knew exactly who he was meeting with and why. That’s been well established. It refers instead to the indictment’s statements that Trump campaign staff around the country, in other words, locals, were the ones who worked with these people and were even paid by them without realizing they were dealing with Russians. That is stated plainly in the indictment. I think we will see more upcoming about the real Trump campaign running the show that were quite wittingly working with Russians including via social media in other ways via the Rebekah Mercer firm, Cambridge Analytica.
re: Ceres - My question has to do with ceres. I recently discovered that when ceres goes retrograde it lasts for 9 months (long enough to gestate and birth an infant!) and since it's in leo it's conjuncting the very planets pluto is inconjuncting. Since many people must have pluto in leo, is this some kind of generational thing? In my life it has manifested partially as distress and death stalking my pets no matter how hard I try to protect them. Hoping for some relief in June when ceres heads into virgo.
A. Ceres is retrograde for only three months, but is in Leo for nine months. Yes, this may influence the Pluto in Leo generation, also known as the “baby-boomers”. Many will have health crises during this time, or have to manage their parents’ well-being and life passages.

re: death - I read your article on Louise Hay in Dell Astrology Magazine. It was wonderful and insightful. You mentioned her end came when transiting pluto and her progressed sun opposed her natal pluto. It seems very rarely that people live past t. pluto opposed n. pluto or 124 years approx. You answered one reader that Jupiter indicated death; the ultimate journey but Louise had no really bad jupiter transits except maybe progressed sun on the cusp of the 8th, something that can't happen in all charts. You know; what indicators relieve us of loved ones against our desire, you might say?
A. Major outer planet transits or progressions to the Sun can greatly diminish one’s vital force, but generally speaking, numerous challenging astro-events happening at once can bring death.
re: NYSE - Regarding your pop quiz about what else is going on in the NYSE chart, transiting Uranus is activating the Neptune-Saturn opposition. Also transiting Saturn is opposing natal Lilith.
A. Yes, transiting Saturn is opposing the NYSE’s Part of Fortune, which in turn is conjunct Black Moon Lilith. Transiting Uranus is nearly conjunct the elevated Saturn, which is certainly a disruptive influence. Looking at the progressed chart, we have a Fixed Grand Cross, which has provided the steady, long-term growth for the last few years. When a Fixed Grand Cross breaks, it’s like an earthquake.

His upcoming eclipsed super full moon on January 31 ties interestingly to the date of his 2018 State of the Union Address, to be delivered only hours before on January 30. The pending entrance of Uranus into Taurus is leading to some startling geopolitical developments, not the least of which is Kim Jong Un’s apparent cooperative overtures with China, South Korea, and the U.S. What makes the Uranus Ingress so fascinating is that transiting Mars will be entering Aquarius right about the same time, creating a flip-flop change of attitude to long held positions.
The North Korean leader’s birth date and time proposed a few years ago in this blog are holding up nicely, with the recent transits and progressions clarifying the underlying dynamics. Transiting Uranus has been opposing Kim’s elevated Mars-Pluto conjunction over the last month as he’s met with China’s president, and initiated re-unification negotiations with South Korea – all in preparation for his summit with President Trump in early June.
For the first time in his reign, Kim left North Korea to visit a foreign country on March 25 when he took a train to Beijing. At the time, transiting Mars had just left his 12th house (of solitude, isolation) and had conjoined his progressed Jupiter, aptly describing his adventurous new beginning. When transiting Uranus enters Taurus, it will conjoin Kim’s 4th house Juno, potentially indicating a breakthrough partnership deal with South Korea.
The big test will be when transiting Uranus opposes Kim’s tenth house Pluto, beginning when he meets Trump. Kim’s transformative peacemaking or cooperative attitude can be seen in transiting Pluto’s conjunction with his progressed Venus at 20º Capricorn. These two will be conjoined off and on for the next two years, indicating that this deal-making is real, that it offers a legitimate window of opportunity to bring North Korea back into the international community.
Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels’ Attorney
A regular NewsScope reader comments, “What a brilliant mind! My new super hero. I’m nominating Michael Avenatti for a NeptuneCafe profile.” As Stormy Daniels’ attorney, Avenatti has been making the talk-show circuit since she sued Trump on March 6. He’s been in numerous high-profile cases in recent years as well as participating in 34 professional sports car races in the U.S. and Europe.
And Venus opposes Black Moon Lilith, a highly erotic combination that becomes intrigued about sex from an early age and wants to understand and experience its mystique. In contrast, Venus square Saturn is highly defensive and wary, so the competing dynamics force her interest underground or beyond mainstream outlets. Her Mars-Pluto conjunction in Libra is primarily concerned with power issues. She found a creative outlet in the Superman series but a more taboo, shocking expression in the real world.
Allison Mack was born with her Leo Sun trine Uranus and square Jupiter (July 29, 1982; Preetz, Germany; time unknown), a lucky combination that brought her success and recognition at an early age. She began making commercials when she was only four, going on to play Chloe Sullivan in the new CW series Smallville beginning in October 2001. At the time, her progressed Sun was exactly sextile Pluto, an empowering, favorable combination.
Venus is prominently placed in Allison’s chart due to its conjunction with the karmic North Node and its network of aspects. Her mother started her modeling as a child because “she looked cute in clothes”, and this is shown by Venus’s placement in Cancer and trine Ceres, the mother-daughter asteroid. Venus also squares Saturn, which brought her much responsibility as an attractive starlet.
Allison Mack Arrested for Sex Trafficking
In one of the most bizarre celebrity news stories of the year, Smallville actress Allison Mack was arrested and held without bail last week for her involvement in a sex cult called Nxivm. Mack is listed as “co-conspirator 1” in the criminal complaint and charged with being the primary recruiter for the secretive group engaged in blackmail, sex trafficking, and forced labor.
Avenatti’s progressed Sun is currently at 14º Aries and heading into an energetic trine to his Mars in Sagittarius over the coming year, ensuring that he will be a lasting presence on the national stage. In the shorter term, transiting Jupiter is turning direct in early July while squaring his Mercury, giving his statements a kind of showmanship. Last week he predicted that Trump would not finish his term because Michael Cohen (Trump’s attorney) will flip and tell what he knows.
Avenatti was born with his Sun at 27º Aquarius (February 16, 1971; Sacramento, CA; time unknown) where it forms a close eighth harmonic configuration (octile and trioctile) to his erotic Venus-Uranus square. The most recent Solar Eclipse on February 15 was exactly conjunct his Sun, and landed him in the spotlight to defend a porn star against the sitting president. Trump’s Mars/Ascendant is opposite Avenatti’s Sun, making them natural rivals.
While Avenatti’s Venus gravitates toward unusual and unreliable relationship patterns, and the kind of women who foster these patterns, his Mercury is exceptionally well placed. It’s said to be exalted in Aquarius, and offers a progressive, objective, humanitarian attitude. Mercury is given a warrior’s boldness by the sextile to Mars, and exceptional insights with flashes of brilliance by the trine to Uranus. This same Mercury-Mars-Uranus configuration gives him the quick reflexes to excel at racing.
