re: March - First let me again thank you for your weekly column. It is a Monday highlight. This week I have some additional comments regarding the March 24th March for Our Lives and the NRA chart.
Looking at the March for our Lives chart, one standout to me is the Mars-Moon opposition and a wider Mars-Saturn conjunction tying Saturn to the opposition to the Moon. Opposition aspects, as you know, indicate opposing viewpoints and opposing forces. Mars-Saturn could very well be the police. The augmented t-square, Mars & Saturn to Sun to Moon, could indicate loss of life due to police (or counter demonstration) actions.

A. Thanks for the link, and it’s something I’ve referred to in the past based on the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn with the close involvement of Ceres and Eris. This chart will be reviewed again in the near future.
re: unwitting collusion - In your story on the Mueller investigation, the unwitting comment was not in any way a likely reference to Don Jr.s meeting which was very witting! He knew exactly who he was meeting with and why. That’s been well established. It refers instead to the indictment’s statements that Trump campaign staff around the country, in other words, locals, were the ones who worked with these people and were even paid by them without realizing they were dealing with Russians. That is stated plainly in the indictment. I think we will see more upcoming about the real Trump campaign running the show that were quite wittingly working with Russians including via social media in other ways via the Rebekah Mercer firm, Cambridge Analytica.
re: Ceres - My question has to do with ceres. I recently discovered that when ceres goes retrograde it lasts for 9 months (long enough to gestate and birth an infant!) and since it's in leo it's conjuncting the very planets pluto is inconjuncting. Since many people must have pluto in leo, is this some kind of generational thing? In my life it has manifested partially as distress and death stalking my pets no matter how hard I try to protect them. Hoping for some relief in June when ceres heads into virgo.
A. Ceres is retrograde for only three months, but is in Leo for nine months. Yes, this may influence the Pluto in Leo generation, also known as the “baby-boomers”. Many will have health crises during this time, or have to manage their parents’ well-being and life passages.

re: death - I read your article on Louise Hay in Dell Astrology Magazine. It was wonderful and insightful. You mentioned her end came when transiting pluto and her progressed sun opposed her natal pluto. It seems very rarely that people live past t. pluto opposed n. pluto or 124 years approx. You answered one reader that Jupiter indicated death; the ultimate journey but Louise had no really bad jupiter transits except maybe progressed sun on the cusp of the 8th, something that can't happen in all charts. You know; what indicators relieve us of loved ones against our desire, you might say?
A. Major outer planet transits or progressions to the Sun can greatly diminish one’s vital force, but generally speaking, numerous challenging astro-events happening at once can bring death.
re: NYSE - Regarding your pop quiz about what else is going on in the NYSE chart, transiting Uranus is activating the Neptune-Saturn opposition. Also transiting Saturn is opposing natal Lilith.
A. Yes, transiting Saturn is opposing the NYSE’s Part of Fortune, which in turn is conjunct Black Moon Lilith. Transiting Uranus is nearly conjunct the elevated Saturn, which is certainly a disruptive influence. Looking at the progressed chart, we have a Fixed Grand Cross, which has provided the steady, long-term growth for the last few years. When a Fixed Grand Cross breaks, it’s like an earthquake.
re: Laurence Fink - Did you hear about this yet? <link> A titan in the financial world is threatening to withhold investments from corporations unless they show they ‘contribute to society.’ I thought either he and/or his company might be interesting to look at from an astrological perspective.

I wrote a more recent piece about how an injured pro wrestler used yoga to heal himself. So I am a fan of yoga and its benefits, and will keep your article on 18 ways yoga benefits health for future reference. I would like to merge astrology with yoga in some way, but it's not so easy. I will keep looking...
re: Trump - Thanks again for showing the fascinating correlations between Trump’s astrology and his behavior. His upcoming eclipsed super full moon on January 31 ties interestingly to the date of his 2018 State of the Union Address, to be delivered only hours before on January 30. The event looks set to provide plenty of controversy, don’t you think?

re: death - Are you good at seeing death in a chart? Are Ceres-Pluto aspects part of the signature?
A. In general, that’s not something I look into. Ceres-Pluto does deal with major life transformations, which may or may not include death, but at least the grieving process is evident, along with the survival mode mind-set, or its opposite, the giving up. I've looked at a few death charts and seen some commonalities. Richard Houck's "The Astrology of Death" is a good source, but half of it is Vedic astrology. Still, he points out the prominence of Jupiter in death charts (the ultimate journey), the lunar nodes activated, and the 4th house conditions (end of the matter).
re: John Bouvier Kennedy - I was reading an article about John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossbert (Caroline Kennedy's son) and how he looks so much like John Kennedy Jr. He's very much interested in climate change and has said he 'aspires to a career in politics". Perhaps you could do a newscope article on this young man and whether his chart has 'presidential potential'.

A. I have Nov 11, 1889 for the state of Washington, set in Olympia, time unknown. Penfield uses 2:27 pm based on his rectification. About “access", all back issues of NewsScope are available, I recently updated the menu where you can find the links. It's difficult to organize them because it makes NeptuneCafe so slow in adding new pages.

re: tax bill - I was looking at chart set for Trump signing tax bill. Is there a special significance to the fact that Saturn and Sun conjunct at 0 degree Capricorn. Just how often can that occur?
A. Yes, it's very rare, and is why I said that it's an empowerment of the corporations, especially since it's in the 10th house. The corporate tax rate was lowered from 35% to 21% - a huge subsidy of American corporations paid for by U.S. taxpayers and an expanded federal debt of $1.5 trillion.

The NYSE and Trade War
The New York Stock Exchange’s founding on May 17, 1792 provided a start for today’s most widely used indexes, including the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P 500. These markets move in tandem, and had risen steadily for the last several years. That the trend broke just two days after the Lunar Eclipse at 11º Leo is solid confirmation of a 10:10 am birth time.*
Getting the NYSE’s birth time correct is key to making accurate forecasts since it pinpoints the all-important angles. Uranus near the Leo Ascendant becomes the ruling planet, and its influence can be seen in the quirky, zig-zag movements in the price charts as well as the dominance of technology in bull markets. Since the February 2 reversal, the markets have remained volatile as transiting Uranus has moved through the Saturn-Neptune polarity near the Midheaven.
A new phase begins when Uranus enters Taurus on May 15, since this is only ½ degree from the NYSE Midheaven. The last time Uranus entered Taurus was on June 6, 1934 – the very day that the SEC was created. The Crash of ’29 was widely seen as being caused by fraudulent practices. At the time, progressed Saturn was also conjunct the Midheaven, providing for this breakthrough regulatory system and improved investor confidence.
This time, progressed Saturn is not a stabilizing factor. To the contrary, progressed Mars is now at 10º Aquarius and within two years of opposing the Leo Ascendant. As is the case for transiting Mars, the influence of progressed Mars can be felt when it’s within a degree or two of the conjunction (when it’s applying). We’re in the beginning stages of that martial energy now, and its obvious manifestation is the incipient trade war with China. We can only expect market volatility to intensify as transiting Uranus hovers around the Midheaven.

Mark Zuckerberg and the Data Miners
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has come under fire over the past two months for allowing data mining firm Cambridge Analytica to obtain data on 87 million users. Facebook makes its money by selling targeted advertising, and Cambridge Analytica used the data to promote Trump during the 2016 campaign. Zuckerberg will appear before Congress on April 11 to give further explanation of what happened.
Yet with Venus in sensitive Pisces trine Jupiter near her Cancer Ascendant, Kate is a romantic at heart. Ceres, the Great Mother asteroid, conjoins Venus, a highly fertile combination. In terms of partners, Kate’s Juno is also quincunx Uranus in the 5th house of entertainment, an apt symbol for the untamed, offbeat musicians she favors. She has a Water Grand Trine featuring Jupiter trine Venus-Ceres, which in turn trines Uranus, making rockers her natural recreational love interests. She announced her pregnancy with transiting Jupiter conjunct her Uranus and closely trine her Ceres.
Kate was born with her Aries Sun in the 10th house of career (April 19, 1979; 10:51 am; Los Angeles, CA), where it’s accompanied my numerous other Aries placements. Her personal relationships are shaped around her elevated Juno in Aries, which opposes Pluto in the 4th house. This intense Juno-Pluto opposition first manifested as tension between her mother and father, actor Bill Hudson.
When Goldie got together with Kurt Russel, he became Kate’s heart-felt father, with Bill Hudson totally out of the picture. For many years Kate did not know or care to know her biological father, a protectionist measure typical of the Juno-Pluto polarity in the 4th and 10th houses of parents. Combine this psychological imprint with Kate’s highly independent Aries placements, and you wonder how she manages any relationship.
Kate Hudson’s Love Life
Last week A-list actress Kate Hudson announced that she and boyfriend Danny Fujikawa are expecting their first child together, a girl. Like the fathers of her other two children, Danny is a well-known rock musician. Kate’s horoscope reveals her interest in rockers as partners, but generally only as temporary or short-lived relationships. Her true lifelong partner is her mother, actress Goldie Hawn.
Zuckerberg’s Mercury at 29º Aries is in his 2nd house, where it represents the source of his wealth: information. Mercury opposes Pluto, indicating the vast depths of data that he (FB) manipulates through artificial intelligence and sells to advertisers. His congressional testimony this week doesn’t end this geopolitical crisis (Brexit voters were also targeted). Zuckerberg and Facebook will likely be continually under pressure as transiting Uranus hovers over his Mercury-Pluto axis through March 2019.
Although we don’t have a birth time for Zuckerberg, a speculative time of 2:10 am (May 14, 1984; White Plains, NY) gives him Aquarius Rising, with the ruling planet, Uranus, conjunct the Midheaven. This Aquarian-style set-up fits his leadership of a company based on new technology and being “friends”. Uranus by transit becomes the key planet when tracking Zuckerberg’s affairs, and it’s currently in his 2nd house of personal assets.
Zuckerberg’s wealth is correlated with Facebook’s stock price, and on February 2, FB took a nosedive when the data-breach scandal was revealed. At the time, his progressed Ascendant at 27º Aries was forming a hard aspect (the trioctile or 135º) to his Midheaven. Over the next two months, as transiting Uranus conjoined his progressed Ascendant, Zuckerberg did his best to pacify lawmakers and FB users, but the stock’s evaluation lost $100 billion.
