re: election - Like millions of other people in the United States I am devastated by Trump's election success. Hillary could still take the White House if on Dec. 19, 2017 when the electoral college votes enough members vote against a Trump presidency. I understand this has never happened in our history. However I looked at the planets on Dec. 19th and the Sun is opposite Trump's Sun and Mercury turns retrograde on that day. My question to you is: Do you think there is a possibility that could actually happen? Your time and efforts in fulfilling my request are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your knowledge of astrology with the world.
re: election - How did astrologers go so spectacularly wrong? Every astrologer I read was wrong----and I read quite a few.. Not one predicted Trump. Also most of the polls called it wrong too.
re: election - I enjoy your website and your astrological analysis as it relates to current events. Although many Astrologers got it wrong regarding who would win the Presidency to be fair you did point out some of Hillary’s astrological challenges and I credit you for that. You also do a better than most job of keeping your personal ideology out of your analysis, something other Astrologers could learn from. Look forward to your analysis of 2017 with President Trump.

re: war in 2017 - I have been wondering about it since 2008. A lot of astrologers were able to foresee the economic impact of 2008 and compared it to 1929. At the time, I felt that the economic downturn of 1929-32 staged the WWII around 1939. Financial downturns damage human lives. The result of a downturn, or the "fix" of financial downturn is a major cause for war, when the people see that wealth is re-distributed unfairly. However, no astrologer has given any clue of a major war after 2008, until I see your articles on 2017.

re: Trump's ACG map - Note that Trump's Mars descendant on his AstroCartoGraphy chart runs right through Pyongyang, N. Korea. Does this suggest N. Korea's saber rattling might provoke some type of militant destabilization or weakness for Trump?
A. It does indeed suggest an area where Trump might feel the urge to engage militarily or where military conflict might erupt.

re: the next war - After rereading your Sept 5th and Nov 2st columns, I got the impression that our next war maybe a war within. Perhaps sparked by the S. Dakota pipeline protests? Is there any indication with whom we would be going to war with in 2017? Foreign or Domestic? If foreign, do you foresee another 911 type terrorist attack?
re: Trump - You've hinted at a lot of stuff for some time. Political commentators have as well. Do you see the Trump presidency either coming to fruition or--if it does--lasting four years? If it does not last or does not actually occur at all is some actual Other determined by the other Oath of Office--whenever that might be?
A. In my article about the ceremonial Oath of Office horoscope, I show how Trump's inauguration chart is similar to JFK's and Nixon's because all three have Part of Fortune in hard aspect to Black Moon Lilith. And we know how both JFK's and Nixon's terms ended tragically before four years...
re: Sibley U.S.chart - I use the Sibley with good results. However, that is not to say that the Scorpio Rising chart isn't valid. Different perspectives may manifest in different charts. However, I'd like to point out the perspective of a friend whose spent 50 years in NGO work all over the world.
She knows little about astrology other than her own sign. However, she has often criticized the U.S. presence in port after port where she has been. "They always have to have the biggest ships. You always know when they are around. Why can't they make a softer
footprint???!!!!"
Yes, that's a display of power, although Scorpio says to me CIA, not giant battleships. More importantly to me, given that the Rising sign is the way you are perceived by others - this international display of overwhelming size speaks to me of Jupiter.
A. I wonder how many political enthusiasts can tell the difference between a Sagittarius Ascendant and a Sun-Jupiter conjunction trine the Ascendant? When 8º Scorpio is rising, the U.S. Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer trines the Ascendant, bestowing all the grandiose qualities you see in a Sadge Ascendant.
Here's another perspective about a Scorpio Ascendant besides the secrecy thing: it resonates with the 8th house, and thus capitalism. And with four planets in the 8th house, the theme is much emphasized.
In addition to the Sun-Jupiter trine the Ascendant, it does so from the 9th house. What's the difference between the Sun in the 9th house and a Sagittarius Ascendant? I asked Jeff Jawer this once, and he couldn't say.
And with four planets in the 8th house, the U.S. has become a national umbrella for the powerful corporations that dominate the planet. Yes,they leave a huge "footprint" most everywhere, especially via innovative technology (Uranus), the military (Mars), the cultural celebrities (Venus), and the banking system (Jupiter).

re: KellyAnne Conway - If I understand your blog correctly, according to Trump's progressed moon entering his 12th house, we can expect the potential of his downfall, or at least serious setbacks, beginning in June. Can you speak about the same prospect for KellyAnne Conway, when she'll be out of the news?
A. Unfortunately, we don't have a birth time for her, making her situation difficult to assess. However, she will likely be a significant and controversial news item for at least two more months as the transiting Uranus-Eris conjunction opposes her Mars.
re: inaugurations - You know how you've cited similarities in JFK's, Nixon's, and Trump's inauguration charts? Are pivotal events apparent in these charts? Can you say "a-ha see right there? THAT is end of Nixon" (or JFK [much more definitively...]) and therefore Trump? Have you looked at the key historical moments and how they impact--specifically--the inauguration charts?
A. That would entail a major research project, but I've given some of the indicators for these presidential transitions in my article on this subject. Go to 2017Inauguration, and scroll down to "Black Moon Lilith and the Part of Fortune".
re: climate change - Although conserves DO want a clean planet, the whole *climate change-global cooling-global warming* hysteria is whipped up BULLS*** by people like Al Gore and a bevy of others to make money. It was further hyped by *oPharoah and the DemonCraps* to push his cap & trade garbage in order to bring the US down so that he could 'level the playing field' with 3rd world countries, and penalize businesses financially, send our dollars to other countries to do more APOLOGIZING from the big bad USA, and ultimately completely destroy the fossil fuel industry. In reality this whole climate change crap is the liberals' RELIGION.

re: Yiannopolous - Just an idea for your column – does the chart for conservative pundit Milo Yiannopoulos show indications of his sudden, shocking implosion – losing his prestige, his CPAC headliner speech, his $250,000 book contract and his Breitbart job – all in just 96 hours? (Struck by Uranian lightning, I’d guess.) At any rate, this one looks like a textbook case of some kind of self-undoing or all-out collapse of, well, everything.
Yiannopoulos’ DOB: October 18, 1983, Greece (Wikipedia). I always find your column fascinating – not only for its insights, but for how clearly you explain your methodology.
A. Such dramatic falls from grace usually involve the Midheaven, either natal or progressed, and we need a birth time to know where his Midheaven is. Still, the rest of the chart tells the story. Transiting Uranus is widely opposite his Sun, but the three-degree orb doesn't account for the timing. Transiting Saturn is exactly conjunct his Neptune, suggesting the scandalous nature of the case. A natal Venus-Mars conjunction squaring over-confident Jupiter describes his zealous sexual activities. This configuration is being activated by progressed Mercury, the natural ruler of youth, and reflects the accusations of pedophilia.
re: Uranus cycle - Just read your post for the week. Thank you for your keen insight as always. My question is, taking a cue from your latest… seems we have a potential Obamagate situation highlighting McCarthyism (FISA and Trump Tower) prior to the election. Seems this has potential (legs) to show the deep state’s hand in the leaks and the MSM complacency (various articles written since last year confirming the FISA requests). Do you see the deep state being exposed?
A. The 21 year cycle related to transiting Uranus's hard aspects to the U.S. 9th house Mercury have consistently brought congressional inquiries at the highest level. I speculated that this time, it would be about Trump's Russian connection. Depending on your political filters, you may see this in a different way, such as an Obamagate inquiry.

re: U.S. Scorpio Rising chart - Long time reader of your work (loved Tomorrow's News).I have long used secondary progressions (SP) as part of analyzing charts. However, I wanted to thank you for pointing out the power of lesser discussed SP transits, such as sky transits to SP positions. The USA Scorpio rising chart time and time again proves its merit, especially with the last election cycle.
When I look at the USA Scorpio SP chart, transiting Neptune is going conjunct the SP Sun in the 8th house (upheaval, transformation) on March 17th. With the Leo on the USA Scorpio chart's MC, one can only think of the recent headlines regarding the persistence assertions of mistruths coming from the White House, as well as allegations of back channel influence from foreign powers. Within the week transits Sun & Mercury hit the USA Scorpion SP SUN corresponding with more headlines. Further, as you noted, Neptune is crossing the nadir of Trump's relocated Moscow chart! Thanks again for you insights.
A. Yes, transits to progressions are a very important forecasting tool. To be clear, the U.S. progressed Sun is now at 12º Pisces (not Scorpio), and transiting Neptune will be conjunct this progressed Sun on March 17, as you indicate. However, the progressions fall into the natal houses, so this configuration takes place in the U.S. 4th house of domestic affairs. By the way, due to Neptune's retrograde cycle, this configuration was in play during much of the 2016 election campaign.

Trump Agenda Hits a Speed Bump
For multi-tasking Geminis, when things go bad, they tend to appear on two or more fronts simultaneously. As conservative pundit David Brooks observed, Trump watched his first major legislative initiative die, and a growing Russian-connection scandal make headlines all in one week. “That’s a rarity in American history, let alone this early in the term.”
This tri-wheel section shows Trump's natal chart on the inner wheel, surrounded by his current progressions and transits.
NeptuneCafe's guest blogger, Christina, has more on the Trump family's fascinating Lilith connections.
Astrologically, a number of factors are involved in Trump’s bad week. One was mentioned in last week’s NewsScope blog. Transiting Neptune conjunct the U.S. progressed Sun describes the scandals, uncertainty, and unreliable allies. We can factor in the third and final Uranus-Eris conjunction that also took place last week, which has brought chaotic, rapid developments and Trump’s demonstrated inability to match his agenda with responsible legislation.
A minor but telling astro-event in Trump’s chart was his Lilith Return last week. Lilith is placed in his 4th house of family, and his most trusted advisers – Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner – were enjoying a lavish ski vacation in Aspen during the healthcare disaster. Note that Ivanka’s Lilith is also at 4º Sagittarius so she was simultaneously going through a Lilith Return. In general, Lilith expresses no love or sympathy.
Trump’s Pallas is another key player. Transiting Saturn is currently lingering at 27º Sagittarius -- right on Trump’s progressed Pallas, the political strategy asteroid. Under this influence, Trump is being forced to face the harsh realities of governing. The next item on his agenda is tax reform. The Saturn-Pallas link offers the opportunity to change his political tactics in order to appease the middle class Americans who got him elected. However, by continuing to blame the Democrats for his failures, Trump has yet to make the transition from an opposition candidate to a governing leader.
April’s Top Five Astro-Events
1. Saturn turns retrograde on the 6th while conjoining the Galactic Center at 27º Sagittarius. The GC can be thought of as “Command Headquarters” for humanity’s collective evolution. Transiting Saturn here tests the current direction, especially regarding the governments and institutions that structure society. In Pisces, Venus is being forced by circumstances to give up impractical visions and to take off the rose-colored glasses.
4. Uranus squares the U.S. Mercury on the 10th, a major cycle in American history that has previously brought high-level investigations into presidential wrong-doing. Although this is the final square in the current series, Uranus goes on to square the U.S. Pluto over the next two years. Uranus’s activation of the U.S. Mercury-Pluto axis brings a deeply divided and troubled political scene.
5. The Full Moon in Libra on the 11th conjoins Jupiter while opposing the Sun, Eris and Uranus to make an exceptionally lively, energetic phase. Last week the Associated Press reported that Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, secretly worked for the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska -- a close confident of Putin -- from 2005 through at least 2009.* Manafort was paid $10 million per year to “influence politics, business dealings and news coverage inside the United States, Europe and the former Soviet republics to benefit the Putin government.”
