re: European Union - Since the refugee crisis, much talk has centered around the difficulties of taking in such a mass of peoples whose cultures are so very different from those of Europe. I do hear more about the urgency of dealing with migrants that are huge in number and in many ways demanding, rather than desiring of fitting in wherever there opens a door. Most recently there's the opinion that this large-scale migration may well signal the end of the European Union. Some even are considering conspiracy theories of how such a movement was initiated, is perpetuated, and who it helps (i.e. Russia, the US and their oil interests). What do you see in the stars for the EU's future?
A. Sorting out the conspiracy theories from what's happening on the ground and the shifting policies of the various nations involved makes this a complex issue. The chart I use for the European Union, set for November 1, 1993, currently has transiting Uranus squaring the natal Uranus-Neptune conjunction, which fits the disrupting influence caused by the flood of immigrants. Beyond that, I can't say how this will work itself out. What happens in Syria is, of course, relevant, and there we have a state of constant flux, not to mention the numerous surrounding players vying for control. How Russia and the U.S. come to terms (or not) with the Middle East is another unknown vector. In short, there are too many variables to make any definitive statement on the effects to the Eurozone. However, I will study the EU chart some more and see if any internally directed effort can be mustered to resolve the crisis.
re: Saturn-Neptune - As you pointed out in your (5) astrological events for November 2015, the Saturn/Neptune square on 11/26/2015 is prominent. You showed in the European Union chart that natal Neptune is being squared by transiting Uranus. I would like to point out that transiting Neptune in the Scorpio Rising USA chart is also squaring natal Uranus in the 8th house.
So Uranus in the US chart has Neptune square to it while Neptune in the EU chart has a Uranus square in effect now. While Saturn afflicts both. Coincidence? I think all this shows the difficulty of maintaining our free Internet(Uranus) while Neptune is showing the downside of a border-free world.
I very much hope that all this is the "irritant" that produces the "pearl" of gained wisdom as you so aptly state in your Newscope article. Sadly, I just do not know if the pearl is wishful thinking or what. People of good will know what this future world might look like but the way there is not at all clear.

re: EU - The last few days have shown a willingness to fight back against the terrorists that certainly does not reflect any "stunned paralysis" in the European Union. France and Russia are now cooperating in air strikes against ISIS in Syria and if the US would get off its duff maybe, just maybe some real progress could be made in defeating these monsters called ISIS. On another note even the hacking group Anonymous has finally realized ISIS is a greater threat than any western government to their vaunted freedom of ideas. All this to say, I do not think your interpretation of the EU chart is telling the real story
A. French president Hollande attempted to get the U.S. and Russia on the same page, but the two external powers do not agree on the fate of Syrian president Assad. But perhaps "stunned paralysis" is not the right interpretation of the progressed Midheaven to the EU's Mars-Pluto square Saturn. The Saturn-Pluto combination is known for its intense nationalism and conservative or tightening policies. Individually, the EU nations are closing their borders and ratcheting up security measures, which is in accord with the activation of the EU's Mars-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio. But it doesn't bode well for the EU as a larger geopolitical entity, which we might say is in a state of paralysis.
re: NewsScope - Around 3 years ago I was having problems with saving your NewsScope web pages and subsequently opening them in readable form in one of my three web browsers. I made no progress with having you getting Homestead to fix this.
On a whim I tried doing it again several days ago. I now can open most of your NewsScope issues with either no or very few rendering issues. I can also easily save the pages as PDF files in Opera. This makes using your articles for research very easy.
I have gone back and made PDF files for all of 2009 and 2010. Unfortunately the link for July 11, 2011 is incorrect. I get the NewsScope for November 7, 2011, Jon Corzine Resigns. If you could correct this I would appreciate it. I will wait to see if you can do it so I can keep my files in chronological order.
A. The software used to build NeptuneCafe's pages was originally designed to be pc-compatible. Those using apple products had some rendering issues, until the host (Homestead) moved the site designer platform into the cloud. It made pages viewable in both pc and apple products. The problem is that due to the hundreds of pages in NeptuneCafe, webpage designing takes much longer to do, and some mis-labling issues may crop up. If the July 11, 2011 page is the only one that got lost since 2009, then that's a decent track record. Readers who want a copy of the July 11, 2011 issue can get an emailed copy upon request.
re: NewsScope - I honestly think you are so incredibly gifted in the astrological world. I love trying to learn from what you write. I wish I had your ability. I've got more knowledge than most people who just dabble, but a Vulcan mind meld would be amazing to have the understanding.......
re: Trump - When will he be gone? I was watching a biography of him last night. Mostly I was rolling my eyes and sighing. What the hell IS that? He so rubs me the wrong way. He is so horribly FULL of himself. That's Mars in Leo, isn't it?
A. Mars in Leo is found in more presidents charts - by far - than any other placement. It shows leadership, decisive opinions, and confidence. Trump's ego is inflated through Jupiter's placement, plus currently his progressed Sun near his Leo Ascendant, which conjoins the royal star Regulus. Most likely, he will be on the national scene through the campaign season since this progressed Sun is still 1/2 degree away from this important conjunction.
re: Zuckerberg rectification - Wow. Really, wow. Do you use any software to aid rectification?
A. I use SolarFire for my calculations, but none that suggest any birth times, such as Jigsaw.
re: Insane Violence - Thank you for the warnings for what's up ahead re: The Insane Violence Configuration --- and for the December 2015 report. Like many, I'm glad to be aware of when the more stressful days might be during the "holiday" season & when to be more mindful of when my own stress is in danger of blowing off too much steam, or when family gatherings might be a bit more testy...yes---a good time of year to remember the peace, love and joy inspirations...

re: Rubio's birth time - In 2010, I asked Marco about his birthtime during a campaign event. He told me he didn't know, and to ask his older brother, Mario, since he drove his Mother to the hospital. Mario told me it was around 3:30p to 4:00p in the afternoon. This would give Marco a Leo Moon. I realize this is anecdotal, but if you were to attempt rectification, this might be a good place to start.

re: Brazil - Wow, it looks like some dangerous stuff could happen in Brazil this summer. Violence, terrorism? Maybe the gathering of people at the Olympics could cause that virus to spread around the world? It sounds like the effects of the virus are usually not that bad though, except what it could do to babies, which is really sad.

re: Sanders - I saw a birth time for Bernie as 12:27 pm and calculated his MC- He looks to be the presidential winner in 2016! I would love to know your thoughts about this because Sanders seems to be the only candidate with real integrity and I want to vote for him in the elections. A. As far as I know, there's no known birth time for Bernie. So a 12:27 pm time would be speculative unless it's from a reliable source. I've suggested a rectified time of 6:22 pm. We can't really know for sure until we get a look at his birth certificate.
re: Hillary - do you see anything inparticular with Hillary's chart(s) now that they are talking more and more about an indictment. What planets, transits, etc would indicate that? I know you wrote about the Mars 12th house self-undoing, but this points to illegal activity, lies, coverups etc. Would like to know what you look for or what would give insight?

A. This is a complex question, and there's no easy or short answer. Generally though it involves Neptune, and Neptune is all over Hilary's chart. However, Neptune is also associated with idealism, so depending on your political bias, it can be read either way. Major indictment's should involve major afflictions to the Midheaven, the ruler of the Midheaven or the progressed Midheaven. Without these, nothing will come of any charges.

Market Turmoil
Following the NewsScope piece on the Uranus-Eris cycle, a reader pointed out that some stock market analysts, from both technical and fundamental perspectives, are seeing major declines ahead, with prices breaking through support levels and leading into recession. In fact some sectors are already in bear market territory, led by energy (gas and oil). Last week oil fell to $26/barrel, a level not seen since 2003.
Financial astrologer Ray Merriman has also been looking at a major reversal in the bull market that has been running since 2009 based on the Saturn-Neptune cycle. In volume 2 of his Stock Market Timing series, he refers to the hard aspect between Saturn and Neptune as one of the most powerful signatures in stock market cycles, usually marking a crest. Saturn and Neptune square each other three times, with the third one coming in September 2016.
The first Saturn-Neptune square took place in November 2015, and allowing several months’ orb, this means that the Dow’s peak in May 2015 could be the market top for years to come. Factor in that we’re simultaneously experiencing a Uranus-Eris conjunction, and the last two (1928 and 1834)
preceded stock market crashes and Great Depressions. Another possibility is that the market could reach a new top this year, but then fall precipitously.
A third astrological angle to consider is how the price of oil is connected to the major transits and progressions to the Standard Oil horoscope, as shown in NewsScope’s January 18 edition. Transiting Uranus has been conjoining this chart’s Neptune (the natural ruler of oil) over the past year, leading to extremely volatile price swings. Now transiting Pluto is nearly square the Standard Oil Neptune, forcing oil producers to come to agreement. Such coordinated action would delay a market crash until 2017.
Bernie Sanders’ Birth Time
Several astrologers have informed me that Bernie Sanders has Scorpio Rising, according to AstroDataBank. The data was rated “A” and the source notes quote an unnamed astrologer: “I talked with a man who campaigned with Bernie Sanders in the Burlington, Vermont races 35 years ago, and was also an astrology enthusiast. According to him, working off of his memory, Bernie's birth time was 12:27 PM EDT"
Although this source is dubious at best (being third-hand information), I actually like 12:27 pm as a possible birth time. It gives 25º Scorpio Rising, which is exactly square the U.S. Moon. Previously, I speculated that Sanders was born at 6:22 pm, which gives 25º Aquarius Rising and conjunct the U.S. Moon. Either way, a connection to the U.S. Moon seems likely due to his extraordinary rapport with American voters (symbolized by the U.S. Moon).
With Scorpio Rising, Sanders’ Sun at 15º Virgo is prominently placed at his Midheaven. Its favorable activation by transiting Jupiter and Pluto would be happening no matter what time he was born. One unusually favorable feature using this 12:27 pm birth time is that on Election Day, his progressed Part of Fortune will be at 23º Pisces where it trines his progressed Midheaven at 23º Scorpio. This is a winning combination.
However, changes have been made at ADB. Apparently, many astrologers have questioned the worthiness of the “A” rating for the 12:27 pm birth time, since it was recently taken down. Now the birth time is given as X (unknown), with the accompanying message that “There exists no reliable source, it is all hearsay and speculation. The time has to be considered unknown, until substantial evidence comes forward.”
Einstein’s Gravitational Waves
Last Thursday, scientists announced* that Einstein was correct when he predicted the existence of gravitational waves 100 year ago. In one of his famous “thought experiments”, he argued that the disruption of a large mass (like the collision of two black holes) would send out ripples in the fabric of space-time, just as ripples emanate from where a stone is thrown into a pond.
Einstein’s thought experiments were a natural expression of his Mercury and third house conditions (March 14, 1879; 11:30 am; Ulm, Germany), both of which are associated with the way the mind processes and expresses information. With Uranus in his third house where it opposes Jupiter, Einstein was a radical thinker, ready and willing to propose ideas that would surprise and even shock conventional beliefs.
Einstein’s Mercury in bold, pioneering Aries conjoins Saturn, which forced him to learn the higher mathematics that would prove his thought experiments. Mercury also conjoins his Part of Fortune, indicating that he would become famous for his thought experiments and his equations. He published his paper on gravitational waves on June 22, 1916 when his Mercury was receiving multiple progressions and transits, including an intensifying square from transiting Pluto.
The horoscope lives on after death. Saturn, the planet that requires proof, was at 14º Sagittarius and conjunct Einstein’s Moon (the ruler of his chart) when the proof was announced last week. Both his natal and progressed Venus were also under major activation. The transiting Uranus-Pluto square has been activating natal Venus at 16º Aries, while transiting Jupiter is conjunct his progressed Venus at 20º Virgo. Venus is associated with popularity, and Einstein has never been so appreciated by the mass media.
