But I do also acknowledge that he alone has gotten the Korea situation where it is today and I appreciate your willingness to acknowledge that and also get an insight into the astrology behind it. re: Russia - yes, this week's column was very interesting starting with the Russian chart. It seems they had an astrologer's advice since the Sun is at the MC, Jupiter is in the 10th, and Pluto is strong in Scorpio in the 2nd house of values.
Since the Russian Sun is conjunct trump's Sun, they certainty have a friend in him. It's disconcerting that Russia's natal Mars inconjuncts the U.S. ascendant, exactly, and Russia's natal Eris is conjunct the U.S. progressed MC this year.
re: Kim Jong Un - I'm baffled by Kim's sudden attitude and policy reversals. After years of posturing, bullying, and threatening the world with nuclear annihilation, now he's transformed himself into a rational human being? It seems unlikely. Can we trust the transformation? Is it a ruse? If not, how and why did it occur? Is it permanent? So many questions... Can you give us some insight?
A. As I suggest in 4/30 blog, it may be due in large part to the fear that Trump will actually start a nuclear exchange with North Korea. Trump is just crazy enough to do that, or so it seems.
re: Uranius - Just curious: is there a degree of orb associated with the upcoming Uranus into Taurus. My husband’s Asc is 3 deg. Wasn't sure how to read that, or if I need to. My Sag Asc at 0 is quincunx; is that going to be troublesome?
A. There’s an old astro-proverb that says Mars arrives ahead of time, Uranus on time, and Saturn is late. This refers to when the influence manifests, and Uranus is unusual in that it’s most evident when the aspect is exact. So your husband may feel it coming, but nothing happens yet. You may be more in line for some changes with this transit.

A. Thanks for the excellent suggestion. However, all I could find about her birth date is that she was likely born in 1962 in New Mexico.
re: Uranus - You mentioned that astrologers are a bit worried about how the Uranus-Taurus influence may affect Wall Street. Remember, Roosevelt confiscated all personally-owned gold in 1933 and took control of the production of the silver mines in 1934 when Uranus entered Taurus!
I faithfully read your weekly analysis of the prominent news items, but I do have a very hard time accepting "asteroidology", even though I fully understand that everything under the sun is in a constant state of evolution!
Please inform me of your response to my gold-silver price/value scenario for the next few years.
A. I don’t have any astrological insights about how the gold market will shape up over the next few years. It’s interesting that FDR had some connection with gold and silver the last time Uranus entered Taurus. Is this a coincidence, or what happened during the previous cycle?

re: March - First let me again thank you for your weekly column. It is a Monday highlight. This week I have some additional comments regarding the March 24th March for Our Lives and the NRA chart.
Looking at the March for our Lives chart, one standout to me is the Mars-Moon opposition and a wider Mars-Saturn conjunction tying Saturn to the opposition to the Moon. Opposition aspects, as you know, indicate opposing viewpoints and opposing forces. Mars-Saturn could very well be the police. The augmented t-square, Mars & Saturn to Sun to Moon, could indicate loss of life due to police (or counter demonstration) actions.

A. Thanks for the link, and it’s something I’ve referred to in the past based on the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn with the close involvement of Ceres and Eris. This chart will be reviewed again in the near future.
re: unwitting collusion - In your story on the Mueller investigation, the unwitting comment was not in any way a likely reference to Don Jr.s meeting which was very witting! He knew exactly who he was meeting with and why. That’s been well established. It refers instead to the indictment’s statements that Trump campaign staff around the country, in other words, locals, were the ones who worked with these people and were even paid by them without realizing they were dealing with Russians. That is stated plainly in the indictment. I think we will see more upcoming about the real Trump campaign running the show that were quite wittingly working with Russians including via social media in other ways via the Rebekah Mercer firm, Cambridge Analytica.
re: Ceres - My question has to do with ceres. I recently discovered that when ceres goes retrograde it lasts for 9 months (long enough to gestate and birth an infant!) and since it's in leo it's conjuncting the very planets pluto is inconjuncting. Since many people must have pluto in leo, is this some kind of generational thing? In my life it has manifested partially as distress and death stalking my pets no matter how hard I try to protect them. Hoping for some relief in June when ceres heads into virgo.
A. Ceres is retrograde for only three months, but is in Leo for nine months. Yes, this may influence the Pluto in Leo generation, also known as the “baby-boomers”. Many will have health crises during this time, or have to manage their parents’ well-being and life passages.

re: death - I read your article on Louise Hay in Dell Astrology Magazine. It was wonderful and insightful. You mentioned her end came when transiting pluto and her progressed sun opposed her natal pluto. It seems very rarely that people live past t. pluto opposed n. pluto or 124 years approx. You answered one reader that Jupiter indicated death; the ultimate journey but Louise had no really bad jupiter transits except maybe progressed sun on the cusp of the 8th, something that can't happen in all charts. You know; what indicators relieve us of loved ones against our desire, you might say?
A. Major outer planet transits or progressions to the Sun can greatly diminish one’s vital force, but generally speaking, numerous challenging astro-events happening at once can bring death.
re: NYSE - Regarding your pop quiz about what else is going on in the NYSE chart, transiting Uranus is activating the Neptune-Saturn opposition. Also transiting Saturn is opposing natal Lilith.
A. Yes, transiting Saturn is opposing the NYSE’s Part of Fortune, which in turn is conjunct Black Moon Lilith. Transiting Uranus is nearly conjunct the elevated Saturn, which is certainly a disruptive influence. Looking at the progressed chart, we have a Fixed Grand Cross, which has provided the steady, long-term growth for the last few years. When a Fixed Grand Cross breaks, it’s like an earthquake.

Strong and Proud, Israel at Seventy
On May 14, 1948, the provisional government of Israel met to declare its independence. After the committee members signed the document, Prime Minister Ben Gurion concluded the meeting at 4:37 pm by proclaiming “The state of Israel has arisen!” This time can be used as the re-birth of the modern incarnation of Israel and, most appropriately, the regenerative sign of Scorpio is on the Ascendant.
An ongoing political scandal has engulfed Netanyahu’s government, which until last week, has made headline news virtually every day in Israel. This can be seen in the national chart with the progressed Midheaven conjunct the 12th house Neptune. But following last week’s military strike against Iranian positions in Syria, Netanyahu’s popularity is returning. This all takes place as transiting Uranus is entering Taurus, where it opposes the Scorpio Ascendant.
Adding to the sense of national pride is Trump’s decision to relocate the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, an international city claimed by the world’s three major patriarchal religions. Israel’s claim is currently strengthened by progressed Mars which is exactly sextile the Leo Midheaven. Natally, Israel’s Mars at 28º Leo conjoins Trump’s Mars and Ascendant so that in effect, Israel can act as Trump’s military vanguard in the Middle East.
Viktor Vekselberg,
and the Russia-Trump Connection
Last week Michael Avenatti issued documents demonstrating that the Russian oligarch, Viktor Vekselberg, had funneled $500,000 to Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen just after the 2016 election. Campaign donations from foreign nationals are illegal, although technically, the money came from a U.S. investment firm, Columbus Nova. However, Columbus Nova’s CEO is Vekselberg’s cousin, and the company is routinely described as a Russian affiliate.
On April 30, Netanyahu gave a speech advising Trump to abandon the Iran nuclear deal. Trump did so one week later and, according to Israeli media, also gave Israel the green light to assassinate a top Iranian general operating in Syria. With transiting Uranus in Israel’s 7th house of open enemies, and transiting Mars making its retrograde cycle through the 4th house over the next several months, Israel can expect tremendous backlash to these rapidly developing situations. The Middle East is becoming a powder keg.
Astrologers have been preparing for some earth changes due to the entrance of Uranus in Taurus. In Hawaii’s case, the only natal placements at 0º is Saturn at 0º Capricorn, which trines the Sun-Pluto-Pele triple conjunction. This has led Trump to declare Hawaii a natural disaster area, and opens the way to receiving federal funds. As for the big one, one scenario is when transiting Pele enters Leo on May 29 and squares Uranus over the next two days.
Hawaii officially became a state on August 21, 1959 (10:10 am; Honolulu) when the Sun was at 28º Leo and in an out-of-sign conjunction with Pluto. The Sun-Pluto conjunction gives the impression of explosive power, but it becomes more personal, more primal, when we note that the asteroid Pele is also involved at 4º Virgo. Pele is a relatively minor asteroid, but takes on extra importance in Hawaii since it’s named after the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes.
When the volcano began emitting lava on May 8, Hawaii’s progressed Pele was at 27º Virgo, having advanced only 23º since 1959. Hawaii’s progressed Moon at 27º Taurus formed a trine to progressed Pele, bringing it to life. Then, this underlying progressed aspect was activated by the transiting Mercury-Uranus-Mars square, with Mars at 27º Capricorn. This is a straightforward case of transits activating a progressed configuration.
Hawaii’s Kilauea and the Goddess of Volcanoes
The powerful three-planet dynamic involving a Mercury-Uranus conjunction in Aries squaring Mars in late Capricorn brought us plenty of political and military confrontations last week, but also some earth changes. The most notable one was the eruption of Hawaiian volcano, Kilauea, which sent 2,200-degree lava bursting through fissures around its perimeter. Scientists are concerned that a major eruption could happen any day.
Revelations about the Vekselberg-Cohen connection came out during an explosive Mercury-Uranus-Mars configuration which activated Vekselberg’s Pluto at 28º Leo. As we’ve seen, this is the degree made famous by Trump’s Mars and Ascendant, also at 28º Leo. Vekselberg’s Pluto opposes Black Moon Lilith at 25º Aquarius, which happens to be exactly conjunct the U.S. Moon. The astrological signals show a clear connection between Trump and Vekselberg, and how the American public was manipulated.
Viktor Vekselberg was born with a Sun-Venus conjunction in the pioneering sign of Aries (April 14, 1957; Drohobych, Ukraine; time unknown), a combination known for its artistic interests as well as being a magnet for wealth and the “good life”. Close aspects from Jupiter and Pluto to the Sun-Venus duo augment the wealth potential. Forbes estimates his current wealth at $13.5 billion, and he’s ranked as the fourth richest man in Russia.
The Sun-Venus conjunction has brought him a reputation for being a nice fellow, and an avid collector of the fabulous Fabergé eggs. In contrast, his Mars in Gemini opposes Saturn, giving him a tough, hard-nosed drive that attempts to push against any resistance, whether it’s legal or not. In the business world, Mars is associated with metals and the energy sector, with Vekselberg dominating in both through his series of partnerships (Sun-Venus, Libra Moon).
