re: Trump’s SR - Are you sure that he'll be in Washington when the Solar Return happens? Did you try it out in Singapore??
A. Solar Returns are set for the residence, not the point where one happens to be on the globe at the time. The notion that one can enhance their SR prospects by being at a particularly lucky place during the SR is fake news perpetuated by dishonest astrologers seeking to make a buck.
re: Kennedy - Since you're so good at analyzing the Kennedy clan, I thought I'd see something about the recently released "Chappaquiddick" film in your column. (Did I miss it?)
After watching the film, I looked up the charts of Ted Kennedy, his wife Joan, and Mary Jo Kopechne (the passenger who drown -- actually, she suffocated -- in his car on that fateful night of July 18, 1969). What's really interesting is that ALL THREE OF THEM HAD THE PROGRESSED MOON CONJUNCT SATURN!
A. You're referring to an article I wrote on the Kennedy clan for Dell Horoscope magazine, maybe 10 years ago. I haven't really kept up on their comings and goings. That's fascinating that the three people involved all have progressed Moon-Saturn, tragic event not only for them but for the nation.
Maybe there's a new bunch of Kennedys on the horizon who can escape the Kennedy curse.
Re: The Big One - Referring to " the big one" do you mean an earthquake in Hawaii or California? I will be in Los Angeles with my daughter on May 29th, her birthday. Do you think we'll be safe there?
A. I was referring to Kiluaea in Hawaii. I think you'll be fine in Los Angeles. In my research, major earthquakes happen during outer planet alignments, and we don't have any now. The outer planets have some kind of gravitational or electro-magnetic influence that the smaller and faster moving planets dont. It may relate to sunspot activity, solar flares...

re: Trump - Thank you for your positive posting about Trump. For all the same reasons as everyone else, I can’t stand the guy. But I do also acknowledge that he alone has gotten the Korea situation where it is today and I appreciate your willingness to acknowledge that and also get an insight into the astrology behind it. re: Russia - yes, this week's column was very interesting starting with the Russian chart. It seems they had an astrologer's advice since the Sun is at the MC, Jupiter is in the 10th, and Pluto is strong in Scorpio in the 2nd house of values.
Since the Russian Sun is conjunct trump's Sun, they certainty have a friend in him. It's disconcerting that Russia's natal Mars inconjuncts the U.S. ascendant, exactly, and Russia's natal Eris is conjunct the U.S. progressed MC this year.
re: Kim Jong Un - I'm baffled by Kim's sudden attitude and policy reversals. After years of posturing, bullying, and threatening the world with nuclear annihilation, now he's transformed himself into a rational human being? It seems unlikely. Can we trust the transformation? Is it a ruse? If not, how and why did it occur? Is it permanent? So many questions... Can you give us some insight?
A. As I suggest in 4/30 blog, it may be due in large part to the fear that Trump will actually start a nuclear exchange with North Korea. Trump is just crazy enough to do that, or so it seems.
re: Uranius - Just curious: is there a degree of orb associated with the upcoming Uranus into Taurus. My husband’s Asc is 3 deg. Wasn't sure how to read that, or if I need to. My Sag Asc at 0 is quincunx; is that going to be troublesome?
A. There’s an old astro-proverb that says Mars arrives ahead of time, Uranus on time, and Saturn is late. This refers to when the influence manifests, and Uranus is unusual in that it’s most evident when the aspect is exact. So your husband may feel it coming, but nothing happens yet. You may be more in line for some changes with this transit.

A. Thanks for the excellent suggestion. However, all I could find about her birth date is that she was likely born in 1962 in New Mexico.
re: Uranus - You mentioned that astrologers are a bit worried about how the Uranus-Taurus influence may affect Wall Street. Remember, Roosevelt confiscated all personally-owned gold in 1933 and took control of the production of the silver mines in 1934 when Uranus entered Taurus!
I faithfully read your weekly analysis of the prominent news items, but I do have a very hard time accepting "asteroidology", even though I fully understand that everything under the sun is in a constant state of evolution!
Please inform me of your response to my gold-silver price/value scenario for the next few years.
A. I don’t have any astrological insights about how the gold market will shape up over the next few years. It’s interesting that FDR had some connection with gold and silver the last time Uranus entered Taurus. Is this a coincidence, or what happened during the previous cycle?

re: March - First let me again thank you for your weekly column. It is a Monday highlight. This week I have some additional comments regarding the March 24th March for Our Lives and the NRA chart.
Looking at the March for our Lives chart, one standout to me is the Mars-Moon opposition and a wider Mars-Saturn conjunction tying Saturn to the opposition to the Moon. Opposition aspects, as you know, indicate opposing viewpoints and opposing forces. Mars-Saturn could very well be the police. The augmented t-square, Mars & Saturn to Sun to Moon, could indicate loss of life due to police (or counter demonstration) actions.

A. Thanks for the link, and it’s something I’ve referred to in the past based on the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn with the close involvement of Ceres and Eris. This chart will be reviewed again in the near future.
re: unwitting collusion - In your story on the Mueller investigation, the unwitting comment was not in any way a likely reference to Don Jr.s meeting which was very witting! He knew exactly who he was meeting with and why. That’s been well established. It refers instead to the indictment’s statements that Trump campaign staff around the country, in other words, locals, were the ones who worked with these people and were even paid by them without realizing they were dealing with Russians. That is stated plainly in the indictment. I think we will see more upcoming about the real Trump campaign running the show that were quite wittingly working with Russians including via social media in other ways via the Rebekah Mercer firm, Cambridge Analytica.
re: Ceres - My question has to do with ceres. I recently discovered that when ceres goes retrograde it lasts for 9 months (long enough to gestate and birth an infant!) and since it's in leo it's conjuncting the very planets pluto is inconjuncting. Since many people must have pluto in leo, is this some kind of generational thing? In my life it has manifested partially as distress and death stalking my pets no matter how hard I try to protect them. Hoping for some relief in June when ceres heads into virgo.
A. Ceres is retrograde for only three months, but is in Leo for nine months. Yes, this may influence the Pluto in Leo generation, also known as the “baby-boomers”. Many will have health crises during this time, or have to manage their parents’ well-being and life passages.

re: death - I read your article on Louise Hay in Dell Astrology Magazine. It was wonderful and insightful. You mentioned her end came when transiting pluto and her progressed sun opposed her natal pluto. It seems very rarely that people live past t. pluto opposed n. pluto or 124 years approx. You answered one reader that Jupiter indicated death; the ultimate journey but Louise had no really bad jupiter transits except maybe progressed sun on the cusp of the 8th, something that can't happen in all charts. You know; what indicators relieve us of loved ones against our desire, you might say?
A. Major outer planet transits or progressions to the Sun can greatly diminish one’s vital force, but generally speaking, numerous challenging astro-events happening at once can bring death.

Trump’s 2018 Solar Return
Just two days before Donald Trump’s 72nd birthday, he’s scheduled to meet with Kim Jong Un to discuss North Korea’s denuclearization in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions. Trump has an unusually favorable progression coming into play: his progressed Venus conjunct natal Jupiter (exact on June 14). This suggests a favorable outcome to their meeting. But other factors don’t look so good.

Trump’s 2018 Solar Return (June 13, 2018; 8:24 pm; Washington DC) gives us a snapshot of the various influences shaping up around that time. This Return chart takes place just after the New Moon, suggesting a new start, the beginning of something that is in its earliest stages. With the Sun closely sextile Juno, and Libra at the Midheaven, we can see the importance of negotiations, meetings, and partnership arrangements.
Mars is an important influence in several ways. First, the Ascendant/Descendant axis is exactly aligned with the U.S. Mars. Then, the SR Mars is exactly squaring the U.S. Scorpio Ascendant. And third, the SR Mars conjoins the karmic South Node and is about to turn retrograde. The tone of the times is all about military situations and, in the best case scenario, the turning away from nuclear threat as Mars turns retrograde.
However, this chart contains some severe warning signs. The chart ruler, Jupiter, is involved in a Grand Trine with Pallas (the political strategy asteroid) and Neptune. This may indicate that Trump is entirely self-contained in his own political theater, irrespective of what realities are happening around him. Then, Black Moon Lilith opposes Pallas as both square the Libra Midheaven, a T-Square that could easily undermine the Summit. Mercury opposite Saturn further indicates that communications are blocked, parties are not receptive to each other’s views.
Michael Avenatti Update
Data sleuth Steven Stuckey has unearthed Michael Avenatti’s birth certificate, which now allows us to update his horoscope from the default noon to 10:07 pm. This gives him Libra Rising and Cancer at the Midheaven, which are the astrological keys to understanding his current prominence on the national scene. Plus, the conditions around his progressed Midheaven help shape where he’s heading.
The Part of Fortune was also activated in Prince Harry’s chart, although not so dramatically. His progressed Mars was precisely trine natal Fortuna, located at 9º Virgo (orb: 0º03’). Transiting Saturn was also trine his Fortuna. Want to know who can bring you good luck, or maybe fame and fortune? Consider that Harry’s Virgo Sun conjoins Meghan’s Part of Fortune. When they wed, Meghan’s progressed Part of Fortune was conjunct his Jupiter, both in early Capricorn.
Meghan was born with her Sun in the royal sign of Leo where it’s exactly trine her Aries Midheaven (August 4, 1981; 4:46 am; Canoga Park, CA). Born just six days after Prince Charles and Lady Di were married, Meghan’s chart carries all of the fabulous Libra dynamics of that so-called “Wedding of the Century”. Meghan’s Part of Fortune at 17º Virgo conjoins her Venus, emphasizing the joy around this planet of love and peace.
Meghan’s progressed Sun conjoined her natal Part of Fortune on her wedding day (orb: 0º17’), and her progressed Midheaven – describing her evolving world status – was exactly trine her Part of Fortune. And then her progressed Part of Fortune at 4º Capricorn was tightly squaring her Moon in Libra, the ruler of her chart (with Cancer Rising). Transiting Jupiter at 17º Scorpio was perfectly sextile her Fortuna.
Meghan Markle and the Part of Fortune
With all the scandals, catastrophes, and violent events blazoned across our daily headlines, the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is a welcome respite. Meghan’s Cinderella story* became her personal good fortune and our collective joy, and an event most astrologically inscribed in her Part of Fortune. The multiple ways her Fortuna was aspected show how prominent this point can be.
We can be sure that Avenatti will be center stage in the ongoing Trump melodrama over the coming year with transiting Pluto continuing to square his Libra Ascendant. And with his progressed Midheaven trine Venus (the ruler of his chart) over the coming year, his confident style and winning personality help bring him success. On July 9, transiting Jupiter turns direct while conjunct his Moon, the ruler of his Midheaven. This suggests a legal victory or some other prominent win coming his way.
Transiting Pluto is in a long-term square to his Libra Ascendant, which describes his protracted struggles within the legal system, and his media battles with Trump’s attorneys. Avenatti was born with his Sun quincunx Pluto in the 12th house. Pluto has now progressed to the exact quincunx (orb: 0º00’), personally empowering him in a variety of ways via his access to hidden records and behind-the-scenes shenanigans.
Avenatti’s Midheaven at 24º Cancer is precisely conjunct the U.S. Mercury, indicating that his role on the national stage is in the information business. He’s currently negotiating to have his own talking-heads show and, over the past several months, we’ve seen how he’s made headline news with his comments on the talk show circuit. He’s become a favorite recipient of leaked information concerning “hush money” from Trump, which he’s happy to share with the public.
