re: Florence - I saw your piece on Florence, thought you might like to take a look at my analysis. I find that solar contacts from hurricane asteroids are quite common (Sun was also conjunct Florence), and of course Storm and Flood are always active at such time. And asteroid Carolina was with Jupiter at 18 Scorpio:
They really need to stop giving these things names with celestial correlations. :^)

re: Trump - I can’t wait for newsscope this week! Do you think Trump will end his presidency early? Resignation or impeachment? Or will he last the next election or worse, get re-elected? My hope is for the Dems to take control midterm, but I imagine the public hates him enough to vote in 2020 this time.
re: Ford – Did you look up Gerald Ford's chart to see what was going on with him the day he took office? His progressed Mars on Aug 9, 1974 was at 28°41' Gemini, so that's pretty close to the eclipse point. His progressed Moon was at 26°16' Aquarius conjunct the U.S. Moon.
re: Trump - I looked at Trump's horoscope for the 2018 November elections. It couldn't be much better. Expect the Republicans to do much better than Democrats are hoping for. I am neither Democrat or Republican and plan to vote for neither.
re: Trump - it now appears that the 12th house aspects you speak of now reflect not only the payoffs on his illicit love affairs but with his own criminal behavior in violating campaign finance laws in in hush money to Stormy Daniels and the other girl, whose name urrently escapes me. Hope more light is shed on Trump' s 12th house criminal Kremlin secrets. Would also like to see you do current interpretations on the natal chart of the Republican Party and it's future and/or hopeful demise.

A. Impeachment likely won't happen unless the Democrats win big in Nov. Otherwise, the GOP-controlled Senate won't go along with that.... But it's looking more and more like Putin has something over Trump.
re: NewsScope - I have been reading your NewsScope column for several years. I very much enjoy reading about world events and leaders. I am also an astrologer, have done a few professional readings, but it was not for me. I have a blog, which I loved writing, however needed to focus on paying bills.

re: Solar Eclipse - Is there significance to Part of Fortune conjunct Ascendant (exact to the minute) and quincunx the North Node?
A. The Part of Fortune is always conjunct the Ascendant during the New Moon or Solar Eclipse. And the Lunar Node axis is generally within a few degrees of the Ascendant, but it can be the North or South Node. By definition, the Lunar Nodes are where the Moon’s path crosses the ecliptic, so eclipses happen when the New or Full Moon is close to the Lunar Node axis.

re: Bush - In a published biography of GHWB, he actually had a long time affair with a widow --I believe the couple had been friends of both George and Barbara, and after the husband died 41 had a long ‘relationship’ with the widow. Barbara was aware of the affair, published in well regarded biography —name escapes me at the moment. The important point is that George and Barbara stayed together and supported each other until the end. Also, the biography implied that the relationship was well known but kept quiet in high Republican circles.
re: Bush - Your birth time of 10:30am is INCORRECT for Bush, SR. Isaac Starkman, official rectifier for ASTRODATABANK using 52 events has rectified his time of birth to 11:31:18 AM, Ascendant 8Virgo30, with Mercury, ruler 1st and 10th conjunct his MH. There’s a reason why Starkman is Astrodatabank’s official rectifier. Please submit another article with the correct birth time.

re: Elizabeth Warren - This week's issue has prompted my response about Elizabeth Warren. She is born the same month, day, and year as Meryl Streep a phenomenal, woman herself. About the tie-in to the USA Moon, which I agree works, would having an angle, especially the MC, at 25 Aquarius work?
A. That's a great question, but I haven't seen any evidence of that. However, it may be true. The problem is we don't have reliable birth data on the Presidents before WW2, so the sample size is small.
re: post-election - You seem pretty sure that the Democrats will re-take the House of Representatives on November 6. Can we count on that? Shall we brace ourselves for the backlash?
A. The astro-conditions post-election look dire indeed, from many angles. To mention a few: transiting Uranus in the last degree of Aries squaring the transiting Lunar Node axis; Mercury turns retrograde squaring Neptune; Robert Mueller's ready to report, perhaps subpoena Trump.
re: economy - Our current sky map shows very close connections between now and Oct 1987 when the markets crashed from Asia to America.
re: mailbomber - He scrubbed his Facebook account which showed he was a Bernie supporter. He had a dozen or so arrests but repeatedly released and under the supervision of Broward County, Florida. The perfect patsy. The bombs were duds, intended to terrorize and most likely create sympathy for the addressees, hence a political act and attempt to sway the election.
Do you think we will see a decrease in these disruptive actions when transiting Neptune clears its conjunction with progressed US Sun
A. I'm sorry, but I don't buy your conspiracy theory on the mailbomber. Transiting Neptune conjoining the U.S. progressed Sun has more to do with the nation's disingenuous, scandal-plagued leadership (ie, Trump) than the media or any violent episode.

re: Gov’t Shutdown - The shutdown in 1995 presaged the fall of Newt Gingrich well before Clinton. Newt was out of the House speakership in late 1998, and out of the House in Jan 1999, all due to his own behaviors. He even took out the next speaker before he ever started, also because of affairs. Clinton, however, did finish his term. And even had positive polling approval after the impeachment.

Roger Stone, the Dirty Trickster
Long-time Trump associate and self-proclaimed “dirty trickster” Roger Stone was charged last Friday with lying to Congress and witness tampering. The Mueller team has evidence that Stone acted as an intermediary between WikiLeaks and the Trump campaign concerning damaging emails stolen by Russian agents. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler tweeted “What did the president know and when did he know it?”
Roger Stone was born with his Virgo Sun in an out-of-sign square to Mars in Scorpio (August 27, 1952; Norwalk, CT; time unknown), the astrological signature for the proverbial “streetfighter”. Mars conjoins his Scorpio Moon with both squaring Pluto in Leo. This intense dynamic can become obsessed with winning, with defeating one’s enemies no matter what the cost. The Sun’s closest aspect is a quincunx to Pallas, giving him a natural interest in politics.
Stone excels at gathering information on his opponents, which can be seen in his powerfully placed Mercury. It’s located at 16º Leo where it’s precisely conjunct Black Moon Lilith as well as Pluto. The Lilith-Mercury duo is also exactly conjunct the U.S. Midheaven at 16º Leo, making him a key player in America’s destiny. He began his career with the Nixon campaign as a scheduler by day, but “By night, I'm trafficking in the black arts. Nixon's people were obsessed with intelligence.”
Stone has indicated that he won’t flip on Trump, and insiders agree that this is unlikely. Stone’s Jupiter conjoins Trump’s Midheaven, which represents Stone’s abundant, enthusiastic support of Trump’s public status. However, Stone’s Mars squares Trump’s Leo Ascendant and his Mars in Leo, which when activated, could lead to personal conflicts. Transiting Lilith is now in Aquarius, and over the next three months will activate their Mars-Mars square. We’ll see how well he holds up against this pressure.
February’s Top Five Astro-Events
1. Mars conjoins Uranus on the 13th, an extremely explosive, volatile dynamic that can be felt from the 1st through mid-month. With this combination taking place in assertive, aggressive Aries, much can be accomplished under this influence, but be careful not to take on more than you can handle. This Mars-Uranus dynamic may also bring upsets, severe miscalculations, careless mistakes, and even extreme danger. Watch out for accidents, be careful while driving and when handling sharp objects. The government shutdown reaches a critical turning point.
2. Chiron enters Aries on the 18th where it will remain until 2027 when it enters Taurus. During this phase, when Chiron aspects your natal planets, you may feel pain in self-expression, or not being adequate in some fundamental way. Those who attempt to conceal these psychological wounds will be pushing themselves to the max to achieve external success, wealth, and fame. Chiron here urges you to be yourself while aligning your drives with a higher goal.
3. Ceres is octile (semisquare or 45º) Pluto from the 14th through 20th, becoming exact on the 18th. This phase may bring unresolved family issues to your attention, such as how to take care of children and/or elderly parents and grandparents. Now is a good time to let go of “laissez-faire” wishful thinking, and take practical steps to bring more order into your shared lives. Pharmaceuticals may be an issue. Establish some ground rules and appropriate limits or boundaries.
4. The Full Moon in Virgo takes place on the 19th, just as the Sun enters Pisces. Many people may feel this astro-event as a significant ending and new beginning in a very personal way. However, it also has strong political tones with Uranus simultaneously opposing Pallas (the political strategy asteroid) as Pallas is turning retrograde. Thus, the Full Moon brings a dramatic, emotional climax over partisan issues, like the government shut down and investigations into Trump’s affairs. Take precautions so you don’t develop PAD (Political Anxiety Disorder).
5. The Sun sextiles Mars on the 27th, becoming an energizing dynamic from the 22nd through month’s end. This phase is especially favorable for taking constructive action toward establishing your financial security, and for grounding your vision or intuitive insights in practical terms. What makes you feel more stable, prosperous, and physically strong? Now is an excellent time to set goals and take the necessary steps that will fulfill your dreams and make you feel more vigorous.
Come Sunday, transiting Jupiter at 18º Sagittarius will be sextile his Libra Ascendant and North Node, which is favorable for him and his team. However, transiting Saturn is squaring his Ceres, which is near his Ascendant, and this is more of a challenge. Win or lose, the New Moon opposite his Sun suggests a closure phase for him. This is reiterated by transiting Saturn coming to his nadir, marking a major ending and new beginning in his career.
Brady was born with his Sun in the leadership sign of Leo (August 3, 1977; 11:48 am; San Mateo, CA), a position that gets stronger with age since it’s also conjunct Saturn. Brady’s Leo Sun is tremendously fortified by tight sextiles to Mars on one side and Pluto on the other. Black Moon Lilith and his Part of Fortune conjoin his Mars, giving him supernatural luck, especially in his magical fourth-quarter come-from-behind drives.
While the Sun-Mars-Pluto configuration bestows physical prowess, his Mercury in Virgo gives him the analytical skills to know his opponents’ weaknesses. And with Mercury sextile Uranus, he’s prone to making unexpected, surprising plays that offset the defenses. This configuration is getting activated this coming Sunday, with his progressed Mars at 8º Cancer forming an exact sextile to his natal Mercury (orb: 0º08’).
Tom Brady’s Swan Song
Super Bowl LIII on February 3 pits the perennial champions, the New England Patriots, against the young upstarts, the Los Angeles Rams. The quarterbacks for the two teams represent the “Youth vs. Experience” billing, with Rams QB Jared Goff (October 14, 1994) eager and ready. Pro football is a young man’s game, but Brady’s chart looks strong in what will likely be his last season.
