re: 20-year cycle - Thank you for your insightful NewsScope column. I am not aware of anything else quite like it. Regarding the 20-year American Presidential cycle, I noticed that George W. Bush, elected in 2000, did not die in office. However, during a critical astrological time period of this administration, when I expected the pattern to play out, former President Reagan passed away instead. Sort of a deferred prophecy. Keep up the good work!
re: Trump – You wrote "...the bottom line is that Trump’s days in office are coming to a close just before or, more likely, soon after this Solar Eclipse." This would make Trump's running mate President. Does Pence's chart reflect that? Or will another rabbit be pulled out of the hat? As always, thanks for sharing your passion and gift for interpretations.
re: crash - It has been a previlage to visit every Monday Morning early in the hours every week and has been nothing but an educational experience to read and read to digest what you write; I have to say at my old age your blog and your writings are GOD SENT and exceptionally great to read and learn from.
With that said, as every where now a days you read this coming Capricon stellium of outer planets that is going to happen in 2020 and it is going to crash financial markets and going into recession due to Saturn combining with Jupiter and so on; I realize that we are in the Biggest Bubble created by central banks around the world and it will burst some time. Will you please kindly write on this if and whenever you have to time to do it to see what is your take on economy and financial markets.
re: gender - Apart from whether or not the VP's inclinations extend beyond the normative male-female monogamy, are there astrological signals that may indicate different sexual or gender tendencies in any one particular chart? And with the prominence now of not only homosexuality but also all forms of gender non-conformity and fluidity, as well as transgender, coming to the fore, what are the broader astrological themes that show this cultural/generational change?
And does this tie into the #metoo movement, which calls down the male power privilege with respect to sexual exploitation?

re: Pluto Return - Thanks for all you write. Ever since you said Hillary would not be President (in spite of my most fervent wishes and all those polls saying she was ahead) I totally trust your political assessments. Your column on the Pluto return is sobering to be sure. But there is another strain of conservatism that might need to be recognized. That of the government institutions, and the press, which are still doing their jobs, for the most part. One thing for sure, the American Empire (not that I really love that term) is going into eclipse, if not by being outstripped by the likes of China, India, or Europe, but because we haven't gotten our own house in order, and have let our worst characteristics run amok.
Re: Klobuchar - Have you looked at Amy Klobuchar? She not only has her natal Venus at 26 Taurus, the same as Al Gore who won the 2000 popular vote, her Neptune is conjunct the U.S. ascendant. And her progressed Mars is moving close to 26 Taurus.

Re: Bloomberg - I love reading your weekly column. Have you looked into Michael Bloomberg's chart for 2020? His Sun is 25 degrees Aquarius, and Uranus at 26 degrees Taurus. What effect might this have if he wins the nomination. None of the other Democrats seem to have the "proper" 25 degree alignments.

Re: Book Reviews - I'd recommend an e-book format in addition to, or instead of, a paper book. The e-book will be less limiting in terms of page length and offers other advantages such as the reader can change the font size, and it is easily deliverable to remote locations (such as other countries). I'd like to see you head each section with the top five books. Then list the books in whatever order you think is right.

Re: Book Reviews - Since you are in the process of reorganizing a lot of material (to put it mildly!), I hope you can consider republishing your own book via Amazon Kindle.
About your previous book, Political Astrology, I saw a used hardbound copy once on sale at Amazon for more than $1,000 – probably so highly priced because it was the only copy anywhere. And I’m pretty sure that you personally didn’t get a penny of whatever the book brought its owner. Also saddened that the knowledge contained in that book is being lost because copies have become unavailable.

Biden’s Sudden Surge Powered by Saturn
Last week Joe Biden achieved an unprecedented political comeback as he took over the leadership spot in the Democratic race. The day before Super Tuesday, top-tier candidates Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar announced they were withdrawing and threw their support to Biden. In the critical state of Texas, Beto O’Rourke did the same, while Mike Bloomberg was floundering following his dismal debate performance.
Astrologically, Biden was the recipient of a confluence of simultaneous beneficial indicators, not the least of which was transiting Jupiter exactly trine his Midheaven. Biden’s stated birth time of 8:30 am is suspect since it’s such a round figure, but on Super Tuesday transiting Jupiter was within 0º10’ of being exactly trine his Midheaven, which helps to validate 8:30 am as correct.
And of course, transiting Saturn played a big role, and will continue to do so going forward. Biden’s Sun in Scorpio conjoins Venus, with both trine Jupiter in Cancer. This set-up gives him sincere empathy for the less fortunate which was cited by Beto O’Rourke when he witnessed how Biden had consoled the husband of a mass shooting victim. Transiting Saturn was sextile Biden’s Sun-Venus, bringing him this kind of support and sustained popularity.
Biden’s connections to the U.S. horoscope further defined the timing of his stunning reversal of fortune. Saturn is key since it had recently conjoined the U.S. Pluto, located at 27º Capricorn. This development brought alarm from the Democratic establishment because the socialist Bernie Sanders was the frontrunner. Centrist Democrats were afraid that Sanders at the top would be a surefire way to lose to Trump.
And so Saturn’s consolidation process began, and centered around Biden. Klobuchar, Buttigieg, and O’Rourke all saw their political future in a Biden presidency, but not with Sanders. It’s no coincidence that Biden’s Sun at 27º Scorpio is exactly (to-the-minute!) sextile the U.S. Pluto. As the Democratic Party leaders focused on consolidating their power during Saturn’s pressure to the U.S. Pluto, their gaze naturally settled on Biden, a self-described moderate.
And then Biden’s progressed Sun at 16º Aquarius is precisely aligned with the U.S. Midheaven, and the same degree as Ronald Reagan’s natal Sun. It’s a critical degree when it comes to establishing a popular base (conjunct the U.S. 4th house cusp). In the Scorpio Rising U.S. chart, the Midheaven is located at 16º08’ Leo, and Biden’s progressed Sun last week was at 16º08’ Aquarius. The timing for his emergence was perfect.
As I’ve previously described, a winning candidate must also have connections to the U.S. Moon at 25º Aquarius to meet the approval of the American people. Biden has his natal Jupiter at 25º Cancer, which certainly qualifies him as being responsive to Americans’ needs, especially since Jupiter is the ruler of his chart. Also, his progressed South Node is at 25º Aquarius, which is highly favorable, and also suggests his karmic connection to a previous era, the Obama years.
Transiting Saturn is heading downward in his horoscope, into the “obscure sector” when most people his age retire and get out of the limelight. However, as Saturn enters Aquarius over the next few months, it will trine his 10th house Neptune, which is a major boon for his political ambitions and the people who support him. Currently, Biden’s progressed Midheaven is nearly conjunct his Juno, located in the 1st house. This likely points to the central role his Vice Presidential pick will be, his running mate.
E-book Update
And now for something completely different… an update on the progress of my ebook, which is a collection of the book reviews that I wrote for Dell Horoscope magazine. So far, some 250 book reviews have been collected and organized, amounting to about 195,000 words. That’s a large book, but there’s more to come.
The challenge is how to organize this material. Each month, under the pen name Chris Lorenz, I read and reviewed three astrology books, but the quality and subject matter of each book varied greatly. At this point, I have six major groupings, with several sub-groups under each. For example, one group is called Astro-Branches, and the sub-topics include Evolutionary Astrology, Financial Astrology, Horary Astrology, Medical Astrology, Mundane Astrology, and Relocation Astrology. Each sub-topic contains somewhere between four to twelve book reviews by authors who have published on that topic.
I’ve hit a snag, and you might be able to help. The reviews I’ve organized so far are from the years 2004 to 2020. The reviews I wrote from 1993 to 2003 are on my old computer, and unfortunately, those are no longer accessible. However, I do have the printed magazines from that era, so they can be typed up. For me to do that would take a long time and significantly delay the publishing of this ebook.
