re: 20-year cycle - Thank you for your insightful NewsScope column. I am not aware of anything else quite like it. Regarding the 20-year American Presidential cycle, I noticed that George W. Bush, elected in 2000, did not die in office. However, during a critical astrological time period of this administration, when I expected the pattern to play out, former President Reagan passed away instead. Sort of a deferred prophecy. Keep up the good work!
re: Trump – You wrote "...the bottom line is that Trump’s days in office are coming to a close just before or, more likely, soon after this Solar Eclipse." This would make Trump's running mate President. Does Pence's chart reflect that? Or will another rabbit be pulled out of the hat? As always, thanks for sharing your passion and gift for interpretations.
re: crash - It has been a previlage to visit every Monday Morning early in the hours every week and has been nothing but an educational experience to read and read to digest what you write; I have to say at my old age your blog and your writings are GOD SENT and exceptionally great to read and learn from.
With that said, as every where now a days you read this coming Capricon stellium of outer planets that is going to happen in 2020 and it is going to crash financial markets and going into recession due to Saturn combining with Jupiter and so on; I realize that we are in the Biggest Bubble created by central banks around the world and it will burst some time. Will you please kindly write on this if and whenever you have to time to do it to see what is your take on economy and financial markets.
re: gender - Apart from whether or not the VP's inclinations extend beyond the normative male-female monogamy, are there astrological signals that may indicate different sexual or gender tendencies in any one particular chart? And with the prominence now of not only homosexuality but also all forms of gender non-conformity and fluidity, as well as transgender, coming to the fore, what are the broader astrological themes that show this cultural/generational change?
And does this tie into the #metoo movement, which calls down the male power privilege with respect to sexual exploitation?
re: astrology - It’s fascinating that astrology, something our present civilization views as fundamental to an individual’s character, is ignored by deeper analysis. Love your column. It’s my first thing to read on Mondays.

re: Pluto Return - Thanks for all you write. Ever since you said Hillary would not be President (in spite of my most fervent wishes and all those polls saying she was ahead) I totally trust your political assessments. Your column on the Pluto return is sobering to be sure. But there is another strain of conservatism that might need to be recognized. That of the government institutions, and the press, which are still doing their jobs, for the most part. One thing for sure, the American Empire (not that I really love that term) is going into eclipse, if not by being outstripped by the likes of China, India, or Europe, but because we haven't gotten our own house in order, and have let our worst characteristics run amok.

Bloomberg at a Divided Convention
The 2020 Democratic National Convention will be held from July 13 to 16 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and as of this writing, Sanders is leading the field but quite possibly will likely not have enough delegates to win on the first ballot. Then, 771 super-delegates get to vote on the second ballot and could sway the results to a more centrist candidate, such as Mike Bloomberg.
Top Five Astro-Events for March
1. Chiron conjoins Black Moon Lilith on the 3rd, and is an effective influence from the 1st through 20th. On the personal level, this combination is about hidden wounds, mostly of the psyche. In Aries, the tendency is to compensate through unusually aggressive actions. Beware of your own psychic wounds by treating yourself and others gently, and watch out for those who unconsciously lash out. On the collective level, the coronavirus may expand its reach outside of China, generating political and economic reactions.
2. The Sun is octile Venus all month, exact on the 4th, bringing a lively, outgoing phase of heightened sensuality and pleasure-seeking. For many, this lovely dynamic can be highly romantic as the awakening of Mother Nature urges outdoor activities. Gardening, hiking, visiting a wilderness area with someone you enjoy being with are favored during this time. For others, this Sun-Venus dynamic can encourage creative, artistic endeavors as well as shared cultural experiences. How can you improve your community spirit?
3. Mercury turns direct in Aquarius on the 9th during the Full Moon in Virgo, offering a glimpse of clarity during an otherwise confusing wave of this retrograde cycle. Mercury is exalted in Aquarius because of its systematic approach to information and ability for abstract thinking. Look for spontaneous insights, and follow through on flashes of brilliance with pragmatic decision-making. Mercury’s brief passage through Aquarius before it re-enters Pisces lasts from the 4th through 14th when progressive, humanitarian impulses can inspire meaningful actions.
The evidence for a brokered convention is “in the stars”, as they say: the Sun in Cancer opposes the outer planets in Capricorn and squares Eris (the Goddess of Chaos and Discord) in Aries. And on opening day, the Moon is in the last degree of Aries where it squares Saturn in the last degree of Capricorn. Traditionally, the 29th degree is a critical degree, bringing misfortune and much desperation. The entire process hasn’t reached a definitive conclusion, but inevitably needs to change.
Mike Bloomberg (February 14, 1942; 3:40 pm; Brighton, MA) has an unusually large number of placements at 29º, both natally and by secondary progression during the DNC convention. His natal Pallas, the asteroid associated with political strategy, is located at 29º Capricorn. Pallas trines his Neptune at 29º Virgo, which in turn trines a progressed Saturn-Uranus conjunction at 29º Taurus. His progressed Moon at 29º Sagittarius activates the entire configuration.
According to Politico, Bloomberg is deep into discussions with the super-delegates, trying to persuade them to vote his way in the case of a brokered convention. As several readers have pointed out, Bloomberg’s Sun at 25º Aquarius is exactly conjunct the U.S. Moon, which infers that he has a strong connection with the voters and their security needs. However, Bloomberg’s Saturn-Uranus in Taurus squares his Aquarius Sun, and this gives him the stigma of being a billionaire who is buying his way to the nomination.
4. The New Moon on the 24th (5:29 am EST) conjoins Chiron and Lilith in early Aries, providing an energetic new beginning in personal and business affairs, but it’s potentially marred by hidden motivations and misinformation. A concurrent Pallas-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn offers a clear view of what’s happening in the real world, but this clarity is not available to those with tribal loyalties. Avoid false steps by acting from your heart. Change your diet if you’re plagued by inflammation.
5. Saturn enters Aquarius on the 21st, where it remains until it retrogrades back into Capricorn on July 1. In the personal realm, Saturn here tests your network. Who can you rely on as a friend, how fulfilling are your interactions with social media, and how do you fit in with your local community? This phase is a good time to connect with a progressive group or faction that has practical, realistic prospects for making constructive changes.
Nevertheless, Bloomberg is bound to be a force to reckon with when the DNC convention arrives. His strategy of spending $hundreds of millions in the states that hold their primaries on Super Tuesday, March 3, will be the first clue that he’s a contender. Eris, the Goddess of Discord, conjoins his Midheaven, and on March 3 it’s activated in a big way: a transiting Lilith-Chiron conjoins his Eris while his progressed Mars is squaring it.
If the choice comes down to a socialist democrat versus a multi-billionaire capitalist, the Democrats will be hopelessly split, and ensure Trump’s victory. The Super-Delegates may use their influence to pick a nominee who didn’t run in the primaries, someone who appeals to all the wings of the Democratic Party. Now there’s a formula for chaos. On Day #2 of the convention, the Sun opposes Pluto, suggesting the role the Super-Delegates play. On Day #3, the Sun squares Eris, and the Moon and Venus are in intellectually divided Gemini….
Re: Klobuchar - Have you looked at Amy Klobuchar? She not only has her natal Venus at 26 Taurus, the same as Al Gore who won the 2000 popular vote, her Neptune is conjunct the U.S. ascendant. And her progressed Mars is moving close to 26 Taurus.

Re: Bloomberg - I love reading your weekly column. Have you looked into Michael Bloomberg's chart for 2020? His Sun is 25 degrees Aquarius, and Uranus at 26 degrees Taurus. What effect might this have if he wins the nomination. None of the other Democrats seem to have the "proper" 25 degree alignments.

Re: Book Reviews - I'd recommend an e-book format in addition to, or instead of, a paper book. The e-book will be less limiting in terms of page length and offers other advantages such as the reader can change the font size, and it is easily deliverable to remote locations (such as other countries). I'd like to see you head each section with the top five books. Then list the books in whatever order you think is right.

Re: Book Reviews - Since you are in the process of reorganizing a lot of material (to put it mildly!), I hope you can consider republishing your own book via Amazon Kindle.
About your previous book, Political Astrology, I saw a used hardbound copy once on sale at Amazon for more than $1,000 – probably so highly priced because it was the only copy anywhere. And I’m pretty sure that you personally didn’t get a penny of whatever the book brought its owner. Also saddened that the knowledge contained in that book is being lost because copies have become unavailable.
