The Astrology of the Macrocosm edited by Joan McEvers, contains a broad selection of essays from some contemporary Political Astrologers. Includes discussion of the Age of Aquarius, Astro-Carto-Garphy, and historical analysis of the Russian czars, the Romanovs. OoP
Astrological Thesaurus by Michael Munkasey, offers a comprehensive key words list for the houses. Political Astrologers can make good use of the keywords listed under "Mundane Ideas." OoP
The Book of World Horoscopes by Nicholas Campion, is the premier reference for national horoscopes. The author's exhaustive research and keen insights into historical turning points makes this the Number One source for most Political Astrologers. Every nation is covered, and often from several possible beginning points. OoP
Horoscope for the New Millennium by E. Alan Meece, contains primary information and discussion on the outer planet cycles. Humanity's historical turning points are correlated to these cycles, as are predictions for the next 100 years. Explains the critical Neptune-Pluto conjunction of 1892, and why the 1990s is a Golden era.
Horoscopes for the Western Hemisphere by Marc Penfield, is a terrific resource for national, state, and city horoscopes. Includes a brief introduction on what the planets and houses mean in Political Astrology, as well as primary information on the historical source and detailed explanation of the Scorpio Rising USA horoscope. OoP, and not listed at amazon.com, but if you can find it, get it!
Mundane Astrology by Michael Baigent, Nicholas Campion, and Charles Harvey, is the essential text to anyone interested in Political Astrology. Covers cycles theory, the relevance of national horoscopes, historical development, case studies and much more. Simply the best. OoP
Neptune and the Quest for Redemption by Liz Greene, is a broad and comprehensive look at Neptune's realm, and includes important discussion of various epochs according to Neptune's sign and aspect. Her focus on the Saturn-Neptune cycle is especially relevant to Political Astrology.
Predictions for a New Millennium by Noel Tyl, shows how to use the national horoscopes in making predictions. Data on current world leaders is included along with extended footnotes that describe how the prediction was derived. The author's grasp of individual nation's patterns of development through history is exemplary.
The Psychology of Astro-Carto-Garphy by Jim Lewis and Kenneth Irving, is the definitive book on locational astrology. Contains info on JFK's assassination, the importance of the Pluto line over Hiroshima that led to the atomic bomb being dropped there, and the Boyd USA horoscope. The primary source for understanding where events take place.
Synthesis and Counseling by Noel Tyl, is mainly written for personal readings, but contains plenty of useful data and techniques for the Political Astrologer. Includes midpoint structures defined and cross-referenced, the history and natal charts of the Popes, and the importance of Pluto in the rise to power.
"What Does Joan Say?" by Joan Quigley, describes her seven years as the White House astrologer to Nancy and Ronald Reagan. Shows how one astrologer in the pre-computer age can indirectly advise national policy, and protect the President from assassination attempts by choosing the time for key events. Fascinating insider's view.
