The style is whimsical and friendly, but the content is accurate and helpful to navigating thorough the more difficult phases. |

Astrology for the Millions by Grant Lewi, is a classic text introducing the importance of the Saturn cycle, and showing how it works in the horoscopes of Hitler, FDR, and the 20th century Presidents. Gives tables to look up planetary positions, plus describes each planet natally and by transit to natal planets. A great beginner's text. |

The Changing Sky by Steven Forrest, is a well-organized, masterful presentation of the techniques and archetypes used in predictive astrology, primarily transits and secondary progressions. For teachers looking for an expert text, or students and intermediate astrologers you won't find a btter text. Superbly written, conveys difficult concepts fluently and concisely. Future Signs by Maria Kay Simms, is a beginner's text on transits which emphasizes the trigger effect of the faster moving planets, the Full and New Moons, and eclipses. The author shows how the outer planets differ in effect from the faster moving planets, and how to organize the material. A handy how-to book and reference. |

The New Solar Return Book of Prediction by Raymond Merriman, is the best book on reading Solar returns. Shows how to interpret the overall tone, timing techniques, and how it works in practice. Describes the importance of angular planets, the Sun, and location of Solar Return. |

Planets in Transit by Robert Hand, is a classic reference owned by astrologers everywhere. Covers the traditional ten planets, and includes their aspects to the midheaven and Ascendant. Shows how to find the best options for any transit. Psychological, growth-oriented, but also practical guide. |

Predictive Astrology, The Eagle and the Lark by Bernadette Brady, is a how-to book, describing the relative significance of transits, progressions, and solar eclipses. The author invites the reader to integrate both analytic and intuitive skills in making predictions, and shows how to set up time maps, plus case studies of noted historical figures. Well organized and instructive. |

Roadmap to your Future by Bernie Ashman, focuses on the transits and progressions as processes and stages in personal growth. The author has some unusual and helpful categories, including the division of each transit into Light and Shadow effects, and Fire/Air and Earth/Water interpretations. The last third of the book is devoted to aspects to the Ascendant and Midheaven. A fine reference, but not listed by Amazon. Transits of the West, Dasas of the East by James Braha, gives in-depth and accurate descriptions of the outer planets in aspect to natal planets and through the houses which takes up the first 340 pages. Part II explains Hindu astrology, and is a brief 100 pages. Excellent treatment of the transits, especially alternative, spiritual interpretations of the 12th house. OoP |

Unveiling Your Future by Maritha Pottenger and Zipporah Dobyns, is all about progressions, and is made wonderful and unique by the inclusion of the four major asteroids as equal players. Includes chapters on the Lunation cycle, reading charts through house rulerships, the progressed Moon's aspects, and case studies. Marvelous reference for intermediate to advanced astrologers. |
